This place is a local staple, which is flooded with every spring by thousands of people. Be prepared for a short wait, and dress warm. Inside is like stepping back in time. I've been going here for almost 50 years

The Maple Tree Inn is an absolute treat and a must do road trip for anyone within a few hours drive. They of course specialize in pancakes with their own maple syrup. It is wheelchair accessible but very busy.

I'm new to New York. And I've fallen in love with pure, fresh Maple syrup! Cartwrights did not disappoint! The pancakes and syrup were yummy! So glad we too advantage of this experience in the last day of their 2017 opening.

A great place to try buckwheat pancake during maple season. Excellent light and fluffy pancakes with maple syrup made on site. You can't go wrong. Unfortunately it is only open about 8 weeks a year while maple sap is flowing. In addition to the pancakes...More

Buckwheat pancakes don't taste much different than regular pancakes. Cartwright's has a Saplings Menu for children under 10 that gives you the option of ham, sausage or eggs with the pancakes. Cartwright's also has... More

They don't hold tables as far as I know. But having a group that large should not be a problem. They take people as they come in. Even if you have others who plan to join you they will ask you to wait until all arrive. You... More

Open only 8 weeks during the Maple syrup run, they serve up incredible buckwheat pancakes, locally made sausage patties and maple syrup fresh from the trees. Reasonably priced, can't be beat. An upstate NY tradition.
