It took us a while to find a good quality but reasonably priced sukiyaki restaurant that's conveniently located near the shopping district. Service was great and both the small dishes and sukiyaki was as good as anyone can imagine!
Read about Aoyagi from Frommer's and went there for lunch without a reservation. English menu provided, staff were friendly, helpful and spoke English. The lunch sets were a great way to try a couple of the local specialties like the horse sashimi, renkon and dango...More

A great combination of local favorites (raw horsemeat) and traditional standards (best tempura I've had in years), all in an authentic setting. A group of 16 of us had a private room with exceptional service and great character. All in all a definite must if...More
