Remember in Penang u need to have parking coupons we were offered one by a stranger, how very nice. The food in the place is more expensive than normal, say chicken rice normally is $5 whilst it's $7.50 here. The offset is that everything that a tourist wants to try is here and service is efficient we will go back... More

Lots of choices. Overall overpriced but the setting was very lively and nice with live music. Had satays which were ok.

Red Garden food court just opposite Cititel Hotel or a short walking distance from Malaya Hotel served a variety of food from local Chinese, Indian, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, & Western. Beverages a plenty of selection. The area operates only at night with live music & singers....a sight to behold. The prices are more expensive than most other food courts which... More

You get a table with a number in the middle of the court and then walk around all the foodstalls to see what you wanna order. You order, mention your table number and they will bring the food to your table. When it is delivered you pay. Very cool concept that I wish they had more back home. There is... More

I've been here few years ago and I remember I was really impressed. This time I think that food quality is a bit lower and I think there must be places with a bit better food. Don't get me wrong.. it's still a must see/eat, but once is enough to experience it.

Famous as a tourist trap mainly because of its location at the bottom end of Penang Road and therefore close to both backpacker and E&O users, it really not as bad as some imply. If you are firm about what you want and don't let the beer touts oversell (we asked for 1 large Tiger and they brought 2) you... More

We were in Penang for 7 nights and came here 3 times for our evening food. It's cheap and cheerful, a sea of red plastic chairs and white tables lined on all corners by every type of food stalls imaginable. We ate royally trying all sorts of dishes averaging a total of £9 for two people. Really tasty. Salim served... More

Yes it's popular with the tourists.. no it won't make you feel like you are eating "off the beaten path"..but the food here was excellent ! There are so many choices but the diversity helps make your decision easy.. and you can mix and match between the stalls. The fresh juices are delicious and very large. This place is super... More
