Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We liked very much the amazing cakes and great decor in this old colonial building. We had a whole cake for my daughter's birthday. Loved the relaxing atmosphere and the warm service.

Found this place through suggestions and review from the internet. Went here for coffee and cake. It wasn't hard to find. It's the old courthouse building, next to the plaza merdeka. I really like the decorations and ambience of this cafe. Everything was nicely arranged. I...tried the salted caramel cake and another coffee flavoured cake which were priced at rm14 each. the slices were quite big and I think it's worth the price.the salted caramel cake was nice while the other one was just okay. My friend and I ordered mocha and also latte. The taste was quite nice as well. The staff there was also friendly n help to give suggestions on the cakes which he thinks nice and also contain no alcohol.so overall,I think that this is a very good cafe.More

Located at The Old Courthouse, this is a nice place to relax with a cappuccino and cake. Friendly service and nice ambiance with a lovely green space in the centre courtyard.

Enjoyed coffee and cake twice during my visit here! What a cozy place that's just next to the hotel I was staying in. It's relatively quieter than the cafes in the mall nearby. Will come back to try other items on their menu.

Hidden from the crowd of Plaza Merdeka, this place is good to just have a cup of drink and relax. They offered Italian pasta with some local twist, something different. Staff are friendly and they do not really bother their guest.

After a lovely walk along the riverfront, it was nice to sit down in the old court house for a coffee and cheesecake, which cost RM21 (£4). Not particularly cheap for Kuching, but well worth it fir the ambience and friendly staff.

Visited kopi cafe twice while in Kuching. Easy to find in old courthouse down end of main bazaar. Great modern relaxed fitout with some old relics from the old courthouse . Food and coffee were great. Our second visit we dined for evening meal. A...mix of western dishes with Borneo twist. Rendang curries , salads, ginger pesto chicken all good. Also do a delicious meze platter. Drinks ok lacked a full selection of beers . Desserts all generous slices of the most amazing cafe cakes and an enormous selection of choices. Cost 300 MYR for four of us included drinks, platter 4x main and 3x desserts so not the cheapest meal in town but still very cheap by western standards for what we got. Would visit again and recommend to others.More

Delicious cakes served by friendly staff in a peaceful courtyard just off one of the main streets of Kuching. We did not have any savoury food but the menu looked good

Splendidly located at the historic Kuching Courthouse complex. Treat yourself (and friends) with the cakes (try its tiramisu) and amazing coffee (piccolo latte). A perfect conclusion to a good dinner!

This coffee house, in the very best of traditions, was located half a block from my hotel (Ranee Boutique) and it was the highlight of my trip. Whenever I had free time, I hung out there with locals and expats, listened to great bands, loved...the coffee andtea, and enjoyed the best chocolate cake selection on the planet! Love it, love it, love it!!!More

"The food is amazing in Borneo" they cried. The food has not been amazing in Borneo. Until now. After three weeks of greasy noodles, oily soup broth and deep fried everything, with the occasional "this is pretty good" or "this actually has flavour", this place...was the holy Mecca of taste, a veritable smorgasbord of flavour. A little bit more pricey than your standard Asian feed, but worth every hard earned ringnut. The ginger pesto chicken was perfection, as was everything else we ordered. A huge selection of cocktails which made the white girl in all of us very happy. And the cakes! Oh the cakes! The choice was overwhelming, but in the best way possible. 12/10 would unbutton my skirt to fit more in.More

Whilst exploring Kuching we came across this eclectic cafe inside the stunning colonial style old courthouse building. The use of furniture to divide this warehouse style place in to cosy, quirky alcoves is both brilliant & welcoming. The selection of cakes was simply mind blowing....There is also an extensive menu, including delicious curries & salads. What I truly loved about this space is that in this now fast paced world they have created a place where it is encouraged to come, sit, eat & linger. There's an entire table full of old school games to play. Each table doubles as an art space, with butchers paper & crayons provided to encourage some artistic flare whilst sipping or eating your way thru the extensive food offerings. By far the best coffee in Kuching hence became our go to place for a morning constitutional! The staff added to the relaxed, friendly feel. This place is somewhere not to be missed whilst exploring Kuching and a welcome refuge from the heat of the dayMore
