Very enjoyable experience with good terrace views. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We ate on the terrace and enjoyed a delicious lunch. Heaps of choice available in the menu for all types of food. Couldnt think of a better place to sit and enjoy lunch before returning back to Marrekesh. HInt: ask for a terrace seat, ask the... More

As it has been said the local men are down stairs, they will look the same as when you walk into any local pub at home. Head up the stairs to the restaurant and take a table with views of the harbour. I didnt see any wheelchair access to restaurant. Paid £10 to have small fish and 3 small beers,... More

The terrasse has a nice view and the staff are really sweet. It is a nice place to buy Wine And you Can buy Wine to go, is you ask really politely. We Got vegetarian food and it was a bit boring - i Think seafood is better to order here. You pay for the view

Downstairs is for locals and upstairs on the terrace is for discerning visitors. Once on the terrace the service is brilliant and the food freshly cooked. During the week we visited on various occasions and we tried most dishes on the menu. The squid just melted. Drinks reasonably priced and by the end of our visit, the drinks arrived as... More

Although the look of the entrance and the downstairs level leaves something to be desired, the upstairs is a great restaurant with a terrace that has a view that can't be beat. Had many great meals here for both lunch and dinner and kept coming back. They serve alcohol at quite reasonable prices, which is hard to find in Morocco.... More

We only visited Bas Laachour for a drink before dinner. It has a great location on the edge of the main square in the Medina with a terrace overlooking the square. It’s a great place to watch the world go by and the drinks were reasonably priced too. (Two glasses for 60Dh) You are able to have a glass of... More

There were many restaurants to choose from but the upstairs terrace overlooking a busy square and the view towards the port helped us to decide on this one. Even though we chose the restaurant for the view we were not disappointed with the food or the attention of the waiters. A flavoursome fish tagine and a beautiful bottle of rose... More

There are so many restaurants to pick from & we hadn't done our research so we picked this one and we weren't disappointed. We had the Moroccan salad, sardines, prawns and fish platter, it was heaps and easy to share.

This review is for the restaurant upstairs. I've been in Essaouira for over 2 months now and a friend and I recently discovered this place. I been to this place twice in the past couple of weeks. The first time I went with a friend and we sat on the terrace. There was no one eating inside the restaurant and... More
