It is really a mixed bag some of the staff very friendly some not so friendly. I have had good food comfort food from here but it is never a place that would leave you rushing back typical 24 hour dinner really!

We went to this diner for dinner. We were a party of four and ordered different food - 2 dishes actually off the 'specials' of the day. Literally 5 minutes later the food was on the table: hardly a good sign when you order lamb shanks on noodles and roasted chicken with lemon potatoes...it only means that they must have... More

This is our go to diner for breakfast and last minute dinners. They are always friendly and easy going with young kids, and the food is reliable. I love the California Omelet. Their dinner entrees are often HUGE.

I work down the street from this diner. It's been newly renovated and looks great to hang out or have a nice little casual dinner for two. The bathrooms are really clean. They always sit you right away and bring your water first. I love this place! I always get lunch or breakfast year. The food is DELICIOUS and you... More

Sure to get a good hot meal stopping in Mike's Diner! The soups are great. My favorite, the 21 fried shrimp never disappoints! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone!

After bar hopping with friends one thing is for sure, Mike's Diner is there for you. The food is better than the average diner and the owners and personnel are very kind.

My buddy who grew up in Astoria told me to stop here. Repeatedly. So we took the metro. Easy: get off at the Ditmar's stop, walk down the stairs, walk into Mike's. Glad we did. We had a chicken special, which was ok. And the service was friendly. (I wish they hadn't mopped just then. The smell of the detergent... More

I have visited this diner a few times when I have been in Astoria visiting family from Sydney Aust. The first time in the 70's then in the 80's then in 2001. The foods has always been great, typically American. The staff was great this visit. Always attentive & friendly. When I'm back in Astoria I'll visit again.

This diner is near Ditmars station so it ensured we started our day on the right foot. Had waffles and pancakes, which were very filling. The coffee was good too. There's a real 'home cooking' feel here in this 24 hour diner and the cakes looked amazing!

I can't really say that we hated this place, but it's a diner. . . you pretty much know what you are getting as it will be good, a little bad for you, but good and satisfying. I got the spanakopita and my husband got breakfast with corned beef hash. We both agreed it was a little salty, but that... More
