About
Casona Deza is the most beautiful colonial house of the Americas. It is also known as Casona de los Leones. The ambient is spectacular and the food is homemade. We cultivate most of the ingredients and promote healthy eating. We take pride on the selection of the ingredients and the quality of our coffee. It is the best in town! Some customers said that it is the best in Peru - we think that we still have a way to go. We are a family that enjoys hospitality because we are travelers too. And we know that while traveling away from home nothing taste better than a homemade meal prepared by a caring host. We are not sharp professionals in the restaurant business, but we love to take good care of

Walking by during the day we noticed the grand entryway laden with old stone carvings. Much to our delight we saw in the early evening that the heavy wood doors had opened to reveal a lovely restaurant. The food was nice, the service friendly, but...More

We have eaten in Casona Deza twice - both times we were very pleased with the overall experience: - Amazing, charming, well maintained historical building - Very friendly and professional service, lacking the annoying puff - Very tasty, well presented and reasonably priced meals The...More

Quaint cafe in a huge old mansion vintage decor. It’s a nice place to sit. They have food and also coffees. We got a latte which is a pretty good coffee there. I also tried the rose latte (which they use granadine to sweeten it,...More

One can sit in the open air patio or in a partially enclosed room. The menu was diverse and the service good. There were quite a few locals eating here, which is a good sign.

It was a relief for us when we walked into the courtyard of Casona Deza. It was quiet, and a quiet spot was hard to find in Trujillo when cars never stopped honking. It was a balmy summer night, and so we chose to sit...More

Hi Roncey, Thank you for sharing your review with the community of travelers. We love to offer a quiet spot in La Casona for travelers to rest from the noise and to enjoy chill moment. Currently we are trying to fix some challenges: our kitchen...More

Too bad that the food cannot match the nice atmosphere. Tried lomo saltado with tagliatelle (OK but nothing special) and gnocchi with cheese (far too mashy). Service was not too interested either.

We visited 3 times...for coffee(good)....for Pisco sours (very good) and once for a meal which again was good. The old courtyards and rooms with their art on the walls make for a very pleasant stay. Would go again.

Maybe it's because it was a Tuesday night, but felt like eating in an abandoned house, the place is beautiful, has nice architecture but sometimes this is not enough, interior design is urgently needed, food was OK, prices higher than average, and for this reason...More
