There was a home-cooked pinikpikan that I have tried during my previous Sagada trip which set the standard when it comes to this dish. I have ordered pinikpikan at Cafe by the ruins twice already with the 1st one quite forgettable in terms of taste but not the pricey price while the second one (It slipped my mind when I... More

Baguio City is one those travel destinations that is too hyped up but there is reason for that. One of which is finding good food places besides the artistic, and outdoorsy flare Baguio offers, and Cafe By The Ruins is one of that. They serve locally grown, and seasonal produce from the markets of Baguio. The cafe can get packed especially around peak... More

Visited their Chuntung St. As usual lobg queue before got a table. Ordered Farmer's morning feast - bacon was so overcooked that it's hard to chew on it. :( The place has a good ambiance, clean toilets but quite hard to call the attention of the waiter/ waitress.

In Baguio, you will always have the appetite to eat. Vegetables are always fresh. Back in the 50s to the 70s, I would always go to Dainty Restaurant along Session Road to order Chopsuey Rice. This restaurant is no longer there after the 1990 earthquake. A secondary restaurant to go to is Star Café (also along Session Roadand Rose Bowl... More

I was tempted to eat at this place because of romantic movie which featured Baguio City. Their tapa meal did npt disappoint. The coffee is also rich, and it comes with a serving of fresh milk so that you may adjust your coffee to your desired creaminess. I know I can't leave this place without trying their selection of breads... More

This place is a good breakfast place. Well they got lunch and dinner entrees too but I was there for the morning so I ate breakfast. Their bread are a bit pricey but is really good. The place is on the expensive side but surely the food is with quality and tastes really good.

Cozy place with friendly staff!! Their Kamote bread is my favourite with basil sauce and cheese. Other food is also a must try!

Cafe by the Ruins has been one of the most popular restaurants in Baguio that it became a must-visit place when in the land of peanut brittle , ube jams and strawberries. The place has an ambiance that would make you feel your inside the woods. It was poorly lit though and made me a bit paranoid with mosquitoes. We also got... More

Very different kind of food. It's been our Sunday lunch before we go back home several time. They also make their own bread.
