Good food, inexpensive. Went with locals who had the baby squid in ink and tilapia, I had drunken ostrich. Everyone enjoyed the meal.

Service: Slow, super slow. We waited for almost an hour before we were served. Waiters are incompetent. Food: We ordered grilled platter, but we were served a charcoal taste grilled food, it was served very cold as if we ordered cold cuts. I ask them...More

Had my 25th birthday here so I may consider this place somewhat special. Modern-take on traditional Filipino dishes seems interesting at first but, honestly, nothing separates this from other Filipino restaurants' offerings. The interior is great, service is excellent, and food is above-par. Its hard...More

When I visit the Philippines, I rarely eat the native cuisine because it usually lacks flavor, creativity, and frankly, any heart. I have a growing appreciate for lechon having had the process and subtleties explained to me by some Cebuano clients. After a meeting at...More

Quite simply, in ten weeks in the Philippines, I had the best meals at Mesa. The food is modern Filipino and the flavors are deep and rich, in contrast to most food in the Philippines, which tends to use little in the way of herbs...More

The food here is great and what makes it even better is the atmosphere. Lunch with family or dinner with friends, you can't go wrong here.

This restaurant was recommended by the concierges at The Peninsula Hotel. One of the best meals in Makiti. Try the roast piglet two ways. Also enjoyed the scallop appetizer, mixed veggies and pumpkin fried rice. Travel global, eat local.

I eat at this restaurant everytime I am in Cebu City. The food (Philippine cuisine) is simple, tasty, and well prepared. They have a winelist or you can drink cold beer. The service is very good, and the atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable. I recommend Mesa.
