Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We left the Faberge museum just around the corner and took pot luck going into a restaurant that we knew little about; we were very fortunate as it is a lovely venue. It offers Caucasian and European cuisine and if our meals were reasonable examples...their food is great. One had grilled pork with rice and vegetables while the other had grilled salmon and trimmings - both excellent. There was soft easy listening classical piped music and the atmosphere was great. Very clean and well cared for venue with attentive, helpful and friendly staff. Lots of Russian diners which says it all.More

We really enjoyed a tasty Georgian meal and excellent Georgian wines by the glass at Tarkhun. We sat outside which seemed nicer than inside. Very reasonably priced for the quality.

service was impeccable, but the food let it down. We felt the food ididn’t hold the value for what we Paid. We ate 4 dishes each, a bottle of wine, a bottle of water & ended up paying 6150. We started with Kytab C Makon...as a starter, which good. Than we had chicken in walnuts, which had a Asian flavor.. it remind us of a Pakistani spices. Afterward we had veal cutlets with vegetables which was a let down. We got 2 small pieces with minimal meat on. It was literally 2 bits on each piece. It was good, but not the best We have tasted. We had backed potatoes for the side dish, which was soggy. For dessert we had chocolate cake with ice cream and cream brûlée which was very good. The reason for giving this place a 3 was the portion. When one is paying so Much, you would expect a little more. I have taken pictures of the menu, so it will be more helpful to those planning to eat here. The atmosphere was very good. The place has good & comfortable chairs. Would I visit this place again? I highly doubt it. If you found my post to be helpful, please do give it a thumbs up.More

How often does an Australian get to eat Georgian food? Maybe in Melbourne. So we spent a few nights at Tarkhun and found Georgian food to be delicious. Service was great and the atmosphere was cosy. It's off Nevsky Prospect so it's a lot quieter.

This stylish and comfortable restaurant is spread across several rooms, giving it a nice cosy feel. Our meal was delicious (beef bourgignon and chicken with walnuts) and we also enjoyed the tarragon cocktail and strawberry and basil lemonade. Friendly service and reasonable prices.

Fairly easy to find off Nevsky Prospekt. I had some cachapuri with spinach and cheese which was delicious but the star of the show was the walnut chicken karcho. Genuinely one of the nicest things I've ever eaten.

The food was great. I had khinkali and hachapuri. I just didn't like that close to us were sitting drunk and rude people. The staff wasn't doing anything about it. It really bothered us.

Our tour guide pointed out this place as good Georgian food to try at the end of our tour for a very late lunch or very early dinner. She was right. Good salads, soups, meats. All of the dishes we ordered were good. The decor...is nice, the service was very good and the fact that we did not speak much Russian was not a problem. The Terragon Lemonade was great. Multiple rounds ordered by everyone. Trust us, order at least one with your meal. We definitely would stop in for a Georgian meal here if you're in the area. The restaurant is downstairs in the lower level, though they appear to have outside seating available for the three days or so of nice weather St Petersburg will have this year, (ha ha).More

Recommended to us and we would recommend it. Georgian food - grilled meats, fish and vegetables, walnuts, cheese. Lots of choice, all nicely prepared and no disappointments. Chose Georgian wine - the white was initially a surprise, but we stayed with it and it worked...with the food. I preferred the red, but there is flavour to discover here.More

A very pleasant restaurant, delightful service, good food and good value. It was just down the road from where we were staying, so in the snow, not too far to walk. Atmospheric, warm, delightful staff. Not top gastronomy but very good for the price.

Really good choice for Georgian food. Worst thing in this place is that you easily overeat your self. Most important was that ingredients seemed fresh and meat was juicy. I will come back here again.
