The best tonkotsu ramen in Kyoto!! Tiny restaurant with long queues. Order. Pay. Sit. Eat. No frills delicious broth and aldente ramen. We ate here 3 times in one week.

Arrived at opening and was fortunate to get a seat almost straight away. The serving size is generous and the tonkotsu broth is chock a block full of flavour - hard to express how good it was - and all for 850Yen. A little bit...of bite from a spice perspective, and the noodles were done perfectly. A very well run little operation to be sure.More

地元っ子の多くがナンバー1というみよし。京都には珍しい長浜ラーメンです。店員さんは中国の方多く、店も狭くごちゃごちゃしており、トイレは激狭の和式ですが、ラーメンは圧倒的に美味しいです。 Lots local people claim this place is the number 1 ramen place in Kyoto. It's a rare Nagahama style pork broth ramen restaurant Kyoto. It's very much street style, so if you are looking for well organized clean restaurant, this is not for you....It's really small and the bathroom especially is super small and Japanese squatting style one. However, Ramen itself is just outstanding, and really reasonable. Flavor wise, it's definitely more than 5 stars.More

Years ago, I lived in Kyoto, this was all of our go to spot. The broth, the noodles and the toppings are amazing. "Sex in a bowl" is how my girlfriend, now wife, described it. We both love Japan and still dream of their Chashu...ramen!More

The flavor is good & the topping were tasty. However, after I waited 10min outside in the cold night, Ramen Soup was not hot enough. A little bid dididisappointing... Maybe, I should come back to try again for lunch.

I was really excited to try this small local, mom-and-pop ramen restaurant after seeing the locals line up early. Unfortunately despite any positives I can only say I can't recommend this place for any westerner. While eating the chashu ramen bowl I detected the taste...of ammonia. At first I thought it was my imagination or the strong onions, plus I really really wanted to like this place. But when I reached the bottom, and the last piece of choshu pork, I smelled the unmistakable and powerful stench of ammonia coming from the pork. It also had a faint green color. This is the sign of decaying meat. I will not visit again and would not recommend.More

Really good pork ramen, very generous portions. Pots of extras to add to your ramen (e.g. different chilli pastes, sesame seeds) to make it exactly to your taste. Very small restaurant, great for a quick but quality lunch or dinner.

The restaurant is dirty and extermly small. The ramen is too oily, the pork had no taste. Waiters are impolite and ask you to move every 5 min because you are in their way (as the restaurant is too small).

We ended up to this tiny place by accident. It looks a bit bland on first sight but we were super hungry so we decided to stay. Good thing we did! The ramen we had was the best ramen during our trip in Japan. We...tried the spicy bamboo and it was just delicious. It was possible to add some sesame seeds, gari and other sauces if you wanted to spice it up yourself. In addition, the staff were super nice and the owner even brought us these ice cool cloths that we could put on our necks and it felt really nice since it was a very hot day.More

Yes, they are open at night. It's really close to the centre, but can't remember the closest metro station. Sorry!
