A long narrow venue of typical size for urban Japan. It has 3 tables and a long bar going almost all the way to the back where there’s an open kitchen and a toilet. 8 taps of Minoh beers available plus 4 hand pull taps...of Minoh “real ale”. English menu and better English speaking from the staff than expected. Kitchen turned out very good food from a menu that focuses on English pub fare (e.g., fish and chips; shepherds pie), tapas and cheese. Friendly staff and good service. Customers must buy one drink, at least at night … not a problem here. I had a disappointing coffee stout and a very good Monkey IPA.More

Walking around Tenma-area in the evening, I stumbled upon this place. The name was what caught my attention, the beers was what made me stay. Great selection of beers, nice staff that communicates reasonably in English. Food menu is not so great so make sure...you have eaten before you come.More

Minoh Beer is the best micro brewery in Japan! The W-IPA & Weizen beers are must have. The Dark Larger and Stouts should not be forgotten. Minoh beer has several bars around Osaka and this is my favourite due to the location. Tenma is a...great lively area that has so many choices for bars and restaurants. Every time I'm back in Osaka I drop by here for drinks. I recommend food elsewhere in the area, and the service could do with a little extra smile- but a huge range of beers on tap makes up for any small complaints I have. Not quite a dive bar but a chill spot serving beer from the Minoh microbrewery. The weizen and peach weizen were fantastic. The bar bites were a little on the pricey side. I had the beer belly which was a lighted seared duck (raw in...the middle) served cold with soy sauce. About 10 pieces, 800yen, but delicious. Beer was the same price as any craft spot back in the states. Would recommend for drinks for sure.More

Great beers and food is ok but awesome ambience. Everyone was super nice and I'd definitely come back. Shrimp was awesome, the garlic aioli potatoes were just cold mashed potatoes I could do without

I've been here several times, on my own, with friends and on dates, and each time I've grown less and less fond. The range of draught beers is small compared to other craft beer pubs in Osaka, and on numerous occasions all that's available are...the Minoh beers, which are fine, but really nothing special. Any guest beers that appear seem to disappear rapidly. The food is reasonable, if unimaginative, and nowhere near as good as QBrick, Dig or Kamikaze. Service is extremely unpredictable, on occasion rude, often surly, but mostly just off-hand. I suppose if they're attempting to emulate a British pub, they've just about got that part right. So why return? Well, Temma is a fantastic part of Osaka, and Beer Belly is the focal point for starting (or ending) the night, and the atmosphere is lively, with a good mix of foreigners and Japanese. My last visit to Beer Belly was a few weeks back, and having become more regular at the aforementioned competition, there's less incentive to give repeat business when better options exist.More
