Tried the champon here as this is a famous restaurant that is also famous for this famous dish in Nagasaki. Both my friend and me were not impressed. Maybe I didn’t expect it to taste like another similar local dish back in Singapore? The staff...were polite and efficient, though prices were a bit expensive.More

Despite what trip advisor says, there is no vegetarian food, and staff will not make vegetarian food for you. My friends enjoyed the fried rice. The champon is good, too.

We came for the Champon soup and were not disappointed. We were told by a local that Champon is a Nagasaki specialty. With a small amount of research we confirmed this. Surprisingly it is Chinese cuisine, one of many great looking restaurants in Nagasaki’s China...Town. We chose this as it has a good reputation. Service is very prompt. Tea is offered on arrival. Good selection of beverages. Menu in Japanese and English. Staff are very polite. The food is wonderful. Very fresh and filling. Not really a cheap-eats location, but you will leave satisfied so it is worth the few extra dollars. We had Champon, dumplings and spring rolls. All were excellent. The Champon has soft noodles and is full of freah seafood with a delicious light but creamy broth, with an egg as well (we think a quail egg). The spring rolls are made to order, so they took a bit longer to come, the filling is so yummy and they are not greasy at all.More

ちゃんぽんと皿うどんを食べるならここ。おばあちゃんたちがせっせと運んでます。味も美味しい。幸せ!場所は新地中華街からすぐです。新刊と本館があるけど本館が行列になっています。多分本館がいい。 Chamgoing and dished noodle is famous inNagasaki. Chamgoing means many things comes together. They are with fishes with starch. The restaurant is in the end of Chinese town, it is better to go a little bit earlier or later noon. Good dish!!!

Nagasaki Chinatown is not large, but it is well kept and decorated. We did not eat there as we get Chinese food at home, but the displays looked good. I like Nagasaki.

We asked at our hotel’s reception desk for a restaurant recommendation in nearby Chinatown and Kozanro was the immediate response. Luckily, we set off on foot with the name written in Japanese, because the English name did not appear on any building and we possessed...only a vague, hand-drawn map given to us at the hotel. Locals pointed the way and we arrived at a brightly lit, attractive first-floor restaurant with big windows that looked out on the narrow pedestrian street. A woman greeted us warmly in Japanese and showed us to a table, just inside the big, simple room that was half-full with customers at 7 p.m. An English menu aided in making selections, and we chose spring rolls, sweet and sour pork, beef with peppers and steamed rice. All arrived extremely quickly. We liked everything except the spring rolls, which proved to be greasy and essentially tasteless. Service was excellent. Staff spoke minimal English, but we managed to communicate with little effort.More

A good place to eat the famous Nagasaki Chinese Champon noodles -- with seafood and vegetables in soup. This is a popular place but is run efficiently with quick turnover. It is not a place for a long romantic meal. But if you want the...real thing with fresh ingredients served with no hassle you have the right place.More

Since most restaurants in Chinatown was closed, and this is the only place with a lot of customer, we decided to eat dinner here. It is good, but nothing really special for me. There are many nice Chinese restaurants where I live in US.

I was expecting too much from the best Nagasaki champon noodle soup. The soup is tasty as it has many juice coming from various ingredients. However my experience was just ok. I would say this is a better version of Ringer-hat Nagasaki champon noodle soup....Unless you are big fan of champon noodle, you can skip this.More

Went to this restaurant out of so many because of a local friend's recommendation. We ordered their famous champon and sweet and sour pork. Before this, we have tried champon in Hakata but find this champon has a fresher and better quality ingredients. The soup...based has more depth and richness. The sweet and sour pork goes very well with rice. It's on the sweeter side but it's fine with rice. Although it's close to Chinese taste, I would say that it has definitely satisfied my craving for home cooked food. And I must say that the Chinese food in Chinatown does taste a little sweeter than back home in my country. But all in all, I enjoyed the food and it has satisfied my soul and stomach as well.More

Average waiting time during dinner period is 30 minutes to 1 hour. If you're schedule permits, it's better to make a reservation. BUT if you are on a trip, don't bother to reserve, just go to other Champon restaurants. I ordered champon, the 3 pcs...shumai and annin-doufu. They are all OK, soup was a bit salty. Not really the best champon I ever tasted. The restaurant accepts solo seating, free water and free hot tea. Restaurant is always crowded, so it feels like everybody is in a hurry.More

I thought maybe it was more authentic, but I...tried many other places around there before and it was not that. This place deffeniantly had some weird stuff going on with their food. I did not get sick but felt weird after about an hour later. Good luckMore
