Reservations are a must at this longstanding Lonely Planet 'top pick' and very popular and good value Malay restaurant. Until a few hours after being home and after what I thought was a fabulous dinner, I would have rated 5 stars. Unfortunately (and I readily recognise it is a grave impugning and am loathe to say so), I was seriously... More

Gorgeous setting, good service and delicious food. We were a party of 8 which gave us the opportunity to order lots....and for some dishes, order double! Favorites were the prawns cooked in tempoyak sauce, rendang, paku and bergedil. Outdoor seating looked lovely.

You want a taste of Malaysia this is the "go to" restaurant. Mind blowing food. I would visit KL just to eat here again. Every item we ordered was so very tasty. The drinks were awesome too. I had a yummy coconut martini which is a must try. Comes in a little Coconut. Starter musts are the Satays and the... More

Mouth watering food and superb cocktails. We were craving for good Malay food on our last day in KL and a friend suggested this place. Interesting decor - a combination of old Malay architecture and modern art - very nice. The Coconut martini served in a coconut was excellent. The Durian and Sour sop martini (no durian in it, only... More

Not really fan of local Malay food but some of the dishes were amazing. Mango salad and Jack fruit salad a bit disappointed.

Excellent restaurant, Malay cuisine which did not feature on Trip Advisor list but our researcher in the group found this gem. White cloth service but not stuffy. Got a table in the outside section, with effective measures in place to keep any mozzies at bay. Great selection of food. Interesting platters to share for starters. I had seasonal King prawns... For a finer dining experience compared to most of the local foood options in the bukit bintang area, this is very recommended! We had a couple of wonderful dishes (the marinated squid was the highlight) and were helped by a very friendly staff. Pricier than most surrounding restaurants though!

This restaurant serves fine malay dining, it's decor gives very nice ambience, and it only open for dinner. We tried 'Daging Bungkus Kukus' for appetizer, 'Opor Rusuk', 'Rendang Udang Nogori' and 'Pucuk Paku Goreng Tahi Minyak' for the main courses. For dessert, we order 'Gula Melaka Cake' and 'Chocolate Durian Cake'. All th foods taste very nice & delicious, but... More

Description
Bijan opened its doors in September 2003 to offer a unique dining experience to discerning palates. The Bijan experience is modern in presentation yet wholesome in flavour. Traditional Malay cuisine is taken out of hawker stalls and buffet lines, and served against a lush backdrop. Modern in its surroundings with distinctive Asian accents, Bijan is warm, yet chic; intimate yet spacious. At Bijan restaurant, we are innovating ways of enjoying Malay food, introducing accompanying wine to enhance flavours and ways of preparing local delicacies in a fine balance of old and new. Our dishes are a mix of recipes handed down over the generations and innovations of the real thing, to produce forgotten favourites and delicious new flavours and textures.Located a mere stone throw’s away from KLCC and Bukit Bintang, Bijan is the ultimate destination for fine Malay cuisine. It is an oasis where you can unwind with a cool glass of wine while the food remains deliciously and unmistakably Malay. Enjoy pre-dinner drinks on the terrace while sampling our delicate canapés.Bijan restaurant won Best Malay Restaurant in 2004, just a year after we opened. We can also be found in Malaysia Tatler’s Top 100 Restaurants, The Lonely Planet Guide to Malaysia, The Miele Guide to just name a few.
