We arrived at about 630 pm. It was still light out and only a few of the restaurants and stalls had people in them. I'm sure it's much better when it's full and busy. I'm much more adventurous than your average person - but there was only one thing that I tried here. We live right next to Jalan Alor... More

A lot good local cuisine available here. Western cuisine too. Price standard, not that cheap, not that expensive. The only thing was, this place always crowded with people and car. My advice is to use Uber and Grab to reach this place. Lrt also available but you have to walk a bit. Won't be disappointed with the food offered here.

There are many hawker stalls, vendors, cafes and restaurants along the street in Kampung Baru (Kampong Bharu). They open from morning until late at night. If any foreign traveler who would like to try local foods but with a special diet (taking Halal foods only), then you should really go to eat in Kampung Baru as all of the sellers... More

The Kampung Baru Hawker Stalls offers a great opportunity for an authentic malaysian dining experience. The food is great and inexpensive. The place is very popular with locals, and we saw very few foreigners. After strolling the street, we finally decided on the stall called Suraya Seafood. We highly recommend this place. Be warned that the English of the waiters... More

We visited here on our first day in KL. Although we came quite late when most of the stalls were closing up, we found a little corner and asked her for a dish that involved chicken, as we weren't familiar with the names of the malay cuisine. The food was really delicious, with chicken strips, rice, a sauce and some... More

Here you can find several restaurants serving traditional malay food and some thai or western style food. The food is superb annd the price really cheap. Plus you get the traditional malay ambiance and in some place a nice view of the Petronas specially by night. Most of these are tradional mamak so don´t expect nothing fancy or sofisticated if... There are many food stalls all over corner of Kampung Baru (Kampong Bharu). And all of them are very cheap in price. There are local Malaysian, Thai, and even Burgers & Steaks sell here. I would highly recommend foreign tourists to come to Kampung Baru and experience the gastronomic delight.

Kampung Baru or Kampong Bharu is very lively during both day & night. There are so many restaurants and stalls that sells varieties of Malays, Thais & Westerns cuisines along the street. The foods taste so good and most of them are cheap. Kampung Baru is truly foods paradise!
