Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We loved our Din Tai Fung Pavilion experience! Food was exceptional, fantastic warm service by Ka Hau (a trainee doing a wonderful job!) and it lived up to our expectations based on Din Tai Fung in both Taiwan and Australia. The cute kids eat ware...was appreciated too. Thank you and well done team ☺️More

We came here for the pork soup dumplings (as we were advised that the Pavilion outlet is one of the few in KL that serves them), and they were good, but the spicy shrimp and pork dumplings were even better.

It was not my first experience in that chain of restaurants, I’ve been in other places and I know you can trust them. I like the fact that the kitchen is visible, so you see what you eat. The staff was friendly and welcoming and...the food was the usual good. There’s plenty of choice in the menu if you want to have a go at Asian food.More

You can never go wrong with Din Tai Fung. But in Malaysia, the food is not only the same high quality you'd expect here, but the prices are significantly cheaper than elsewhere in the world. All the menu items, including the soup dumplings, are probably...around 20% cheaper than in the US!! I mean, it's like heaven! Come here for great food in a great location, right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur's shopping district.More

Tried this place out on a recommendation, and it was worth it. You choose your food before entering and once you are seated you can expect your food to start arriving in about 10 minutes. Everything was tasty and well prepared. By no means is...this high-end dining, but rather just a quick and dirty meal. It is worth it if you have around 30 minutes to sit down for some Asian dining.More

This Restaurant do not accept reservation. Its first come first serve system. Take a queue number with order chit , stand around at the entrance to wait for your call. Food is below our expectation. Xiao long bao skin is dry & sinewy , noodles...are bland . Service is very slow..they even miss out two of our orders. Throughout our lunch, no one cleared our used crockeries . We have tasted better food & services in other Din Tai Fung Outlets. It is indeed a very disappointing time spent at KL Pavillion Din Tai Fung !!More

First off, this is a review on their delivery service and not dine-in. Being the exclusive few Taiwanese restaurants to be awarded a Michelin Star, Ding Tai Fung requires no introduction. We have dined in their branches across South East Asia & have always departed...with a satisfied & full tummy. But how do they fare in a take away? Service: We placed the order via a third party app hence was pretty straight forward. Packaging: Nothing much to rave about with ordinary take away boxes ✅ Prawn with Salted Egg (RM 45.47) Taste: Despite having sat in a delivery box and exposed to the evils of a typical delivery such as moisture and a very reckless rider, the dish still arrived piping hot & intact. The prawns were fresh giving us a delightful crunch as we sank our teeth into it with the flavourful salted egg batter crispy on the outside & drizzled with chilli. Price: Reasonable 🙆🏻‍♀️ ✅ Pork Chop Fried Rice (RM 26.29) Taste: Each grain of rice had a very smooth texture, evenly coated with egg & oil from the pork & sprinkled with chives. Rested on the top is a succulent pork chop which was slightly charred on the edges yet juicy within & sprinkled with pepper. The pork chop was seasoned beautifully, resulting in a well balanced dish which wasn’t too salty. Price: Reasonable 🙆🏻‍♀️ ✅ Sweet & Sour Chicken (RM 29.47) Taste: They separated the sauce from the stir fried meat & peppers hence the meat, peppers & onions were still crunchy upon arrival & gave us the pleasure of pouring the sauce over the dish. The sauce was a little sweet especially with the onions already providing a tinge of sweetness to the dish with a splash of lemon balancing the whole dish beautifully. Price: Reasonable 🙆🏻‍♀️ Recommended? Ding Tai Fung has been a crowd favourite & comfort food to some for years. Despite facing the challenges of a delivery service, they have not disappointed🙆🏻‍♀️ Our full review is on Instagram ( @monk3yseendo )More
