I have always favored Shang for its great food but I must say, they have just become very "vanilla" with Zipangu. Nothing special with the food and the lack of attentiveness from the staff was very un-Shang. They have been well overtaken by Tatsu Japanese Restaurant at the InterContinental KL. This is where I'll take my clients now. I hope... More

We had dinner with friends to celebrate our anniversary. The restaurant is modern, minimalist, nice decorated with water features, garden and a walk thru cellar. The kitchen is the star of the place They accommodate our group ( 9 ) in a nice private room. The server was very professional and answered all our questions. The restaurant has different set... Overall very nice experience. Fresh fish and seafood, attentive staff, pricing as expected. Even their seafood fried rice was nice. From starters to desserts including cocktails, no disappointment.

Had dinner here, we weren't very hungry so had a very simple meal yet the service provided was just as good as if we had ordered a thousand ringgit meal! The staff were politely friendly, knowledgeable, and able to upsell based on my partner's comments/likes. Kudos to the restaurant and training managers! Wish I had staff like these...

I have been to this place many times over a decade, but things have changed badly of late. Not for the best however. In a Japanese restaurant there is a must for the head Chef to be Japanese and if so, it wasn't obvious at all. Every aspect from food preparation, quality of ingredients, service discipline & making your meal... More

Favorite Japanese restaurant in town. Supreme sashimi is well worth the price. It melts in your mouth. Grilled mackerel was cooked just right and was off the bone.

This restaurant is beautiful and has a perfect setting for dining at its highest quality. The sushi is fresh and the teppanyaki dishes are just wonderful. I loved the garlic rice and the succulent prawns and the Wagyu beef and cod fish were awesome. It is also a good restaurant to hold business meetings.

The set lunches are good value, as much as they can be in a hotel. I had the cold soba set, which came with sushi, tempura and salad, and soup for RM79. There are more expensive options, dependent on the meat and fish choices. I came for dinner too, which is a bit more, but has good choices and good... More
