We have been to Gemibaşı for years, especially in winter season. You never surprise about food; excellent soup, freshly made starters and fish. Also restaurant service and staff are great.

I have been to Gemibasi restaurant for years. There was no surprise, the core crew hold their forte for years and I think this is the main issue in their success, thanks to all. You have to try .

Booking strongly recommended just like in all Bodrum restaurants; whatsoever all staters are excellent, go for fish, grouper, king fish, sea bass or just check for last catch in display; good tip: if you are in Bodrum late December/early January it's the sole fish season, absolutely delicious!!!

We had a table in the terrace where with a nice (partial) view of the harbor. We, the six of us, started our dinner with a selection of "mezes" including sautéed octopus, marinated red mullet, stuffed zucchini flowers plus others. All were excellent. Our main dish was a perfectly cooked wild sea bass. We finished with "kabak tatlisi" (pumpkin dessert)... More

The restaurant (especially the upper level) has a fantastic view of Bodrum Harbour (it is better to book ahead). The waiters are buzzing about, are fast and well-timed. However, I felt pressured into getting more that we really wanted (still it got demolished). We found the seafood was fresh but pricey (we had bread, a couple of mezzes, calamari, shrimps,... More

The place was very crowded but still the service was very fast. I ate the best Calamari I ever had. You must try it. Food is fresh and delicious. Staff is very friendly. Prices are fair for a place like this.

If you're planning eat in Bodrum this is one of the many restaurants close to the marina. Our friends recommended this restaurant and we were happy overall. The starters were good but not great. Fried squids and octopus were perfect. We ate fish also. The prices are reasonable considering the location.

We called in and reserved in the morning because it is unusual to find an empty table if you go directly at night. We really enjoyed the cold dishes and the fresh fish. We only didnt like barbeque shrimp very much. Our favourite was kalamari and the meze which was rice stuffed flower. The staff was polite and very quick... More

After visiting the Castle we strolled the harbour looking for the best fish restaurant. We were recommended this fantastic place- Gemibasi (Ships captain). We got to choose our fresh fish in the kitchen and - Wow what a meal! Tasty, fresh sea bass, tasty mezes, crisp white wine, on little white tables with blue chairs overlooking the yachts on the...
