We ordered a chip and dip appetizer that was one of the best I've ever had. We ordered three different entrees, and each one was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Great atmosphere and excellent service. We even went back another afternoon just for that appetizer and drinks. Definitely plan to go back on our next visit.

Place came highly recommened but it didn't hit the mark. Place was empty for a Thursday night. Service was good. She crab soup was excellent but then that was the end of our gourmet delights. My fried flounder was so-so nothing to rave about not even sure if it was local, doubtful. Wifes shrimp and grits was luke warm and... More

My wife and I ate there on a Saturday night. The food was super good and the portions were very large. I had a salad with the honey mustard dressing, it was homemade and very very good. The wife had broiled shrimp with fries and I had the broiled flounder with sauted veggies. Both were some of the best that... More

One of my favorite things about the Cannel Marker was the free port wine cheese spread and crackers. They don't do this anymore. They serve an assortment of bread instead. Portions are abundant and our food was good. Service was friendly but slow our beverages went dry...not good letting patrons go thirsty. Due to no cheese and empty glasses rating... More

Nice location, Food was average at best, over priced and small portions. Wasn't impressed with the staff or locales who seemed snobbish. No need to go back. Too many good places to go nearby. Go to Morehead city waterfront or Beaufort waterfront if you want good local seafood and good service. I suggest Sammy's or Southern Salt or Old Salt,... More

The service was very good during my visit. I had the Shrimp & Crabmeat panned in butter which was good but for the price the portion is what I would describe as small. With the baked potato added in along with the bread I left wishing for more. My bill without tip was $28.00, I did not feel as though... More

We visited the Channel Marker while visiting family in the area. We had a large group (7 adults and a toddler). They put us in the bar area vs.the main dining room, which turned out to be ok so we could watch the college football games during dinner. There seemed to be some confusion on which server was assigned to... More

My family and I wanted seafood for dinner while on a family vacation in Atlantic Beach. It was a beautiful breezy July day and wound up at the Channel Marker at the suggestion of our hotel. We sat outside on the deck with a beautiful view overlooking Bogue Sound. I had the bay scallop dinner, my dad and sister had... More

A little deck damage from hurricane Matthew, but food and service were great! From the fresh baked bread to seafood entrees and finally the heavenly dessert, all was exceptional!
