Tom & Joe's uses real food and it is GOOD. I love the entertainment there as well - the owner yells back to the kitchen what he needs and the kitchen yells back that its coming. A family tradition in Altoona for decades. Reasonable prices - good food.

My friend and I stopped in for breakfast on a cold , snowy morning. We sat at the he counter and right away the waitress asked us if we wanted coffee. The coffee was hot, fresh and delicious. Our cups were always full. We ordered the "Special special" which consisted of two eggs, made our way, our choice of meats,... More

Good ole fashioned diner with good food and a great atmosphere. The owner is very passionate and the wait staff is very attentive. Good lunch menu as well as you are served quickly and on your way for the day.

Two days after Christmas we were meeting friends and family for breakfast and lunch. We were a party of nine and they accommodated us easily at a table, and that was the end of the service. We sat at a table for 30 minutes ( we looked at the clock) and we didn't have water. Two other tables came in... More

While I am sorry that you feel that you had bad/no service, I would like to provide a more accurate description as to what happened. First of all I want to say that you were definitely not waiting for 30 minutes at your table...I was there. While we were very busy at the time when you came in, as you... More

Breakfast is your best bet...always crowded. The lunch hot meatloaf sandwich is very good. Wouldn't recommend the fish on Fridays. It's nothing special, not fresh, frozen. The macaroni & cheese was only so-so. Rather noisy with a lot of yelling from the help.

Scratch made Food, always really decent. Breakfast & Lunch both good, normally do breakfast, Anything is usually good . Stay away from the Greek Omelette, seems to think he's the know it all when it comes to that item. Service can be a little slow , but really busy place. Definitely recommend
