There are many versions of red sauce in the world of Italian cuisine. This is my favorite ever. Great meat balls, they actually taste like a meatball not bread crumbs, Chicken parm is a must try and the same with the stuffed rigatoni. The prices are great neighborhood pricing and the portions are large.

Food is excellent, service is good. A great meal, friendly service, makes a great night out. Décor is dated, which is part of the charm.

Lenses has specials everyday along with a nice variety on the regular menu. The eggplant parmesan and lasagna are really good. Fresh bread and butter and you can ask for a bag to take your leftover bread home.

I came here on the recommendation of some local people i had worked with today. It's not fancy. Very much a local place. The salad is mostly iceberg - but the dressing is made in-house and good. And the food itself is quite good. I was told that i should make sure to get the homemade noodles--i did, with my... More

A group of us went here on the recommendation of our customer who we had been working with all week. Small non descript building - inside reminded me of a VFW club. Food was incredible - home made bread, home made salad dressing and home made sauce. Not a huge menu but suited 4 people with different tastes. Definitely a... More

Had lunch there at work. I don't like to do pasta for lunch so I figured a salad was a good choice. I have heard nothing but good things about Lena's so I was hopeful. Well for $9.75 I got a container of soggy iceberg lettuce, 4 cherry style tomatoes, a handful of fries and 5 or 6 strips of... More

A groups of friends and I stopped here for lunch between working sessions. We all had the lunch specials for the day which included stuffed rigatoni or spaghetti with meatballs. It came with either a salad or apple sauce and we had fresh bread on the table as well. We all enjoyed the meal, we had a great server and... More

Had the special of course spaghetti and meatball, the best in town. It's in the shady part of town, the inside needs updated but the food is the bomb. Staff is family friendly.

If you are looking for a 'dining experience' Lena's is probably not for you. It is a small, non description restaurant tucked away in a residential/commercial part of Altoona. Seating is tight, its often crowded and there can be a wait. No extensive wine or beer lists, just the basic alcohol choices, but the food is why folks come. The... More
