Hot dogs at their best, Kosher hotdogs as well! easy to find and next to the laundromat and centrally located in Alpine! Since I am simple, It is always just a dog with cheese and catsup.

Always try to stop here whenever I'm in Alpine. Great dogs, nice people and very fair prices. Probably have been there four or five times. Right in the center of town.

Very good dogs! Saw this on the Daytripper and wanted to try it. We were not disappointed. The hot dogs were very good. Too many to choose from! It does get a line at lunch but they do a good job moving you thru and getting the food out. Plenty of outside seating. Prices are reasonable.

Stopped in for some dogs. I had the wing dog, someone else in our party had the pizza dog, among others. Let me tell you, you won't find a better hot dog anywhere else! Beyond yummy. The people are very friendly also and always have great customer service!!

Cow Dog. Staple of Alpine, Tx. You've got to be kidding. I take friends here at least once a month, and I watch as they order over 5 dollar, uh, cow dogs, with everything from chili to Maine toppings, and my head spins, and the memory of yesteryear's acid reflux problems come screaming back. As I mentioned in a review... More

Great place to grab an artisan hot dog. Saw it featured on "The Daytripper" and it did not disappoint. We all shared each other's. The variety is so great that you can find something to your taste. Family run.

It's not easy to find quick food in Alpine. There's either high end dining for rich ranchers, or humble diners for the budget conscious. Of those, open hours are unpredictable. "Closed due to lack of staff." "Closed Tuesdays." "Open 11 am - 3 pm" are signs that'll confront you if you don't plan ahead. Cow Dog, a food truck specializing... More

What a great variety of hot dogs. Friends and I went and one friend and I bought different ones and split them so we could try the different type. We got the The “El Pastor” and The “Artisan”. Both were really good, made fresh as we waited. Also loved the Tater Flops with the green chili.

Every time I visit the Cow Dog, the food is great and at a great price! Allan has imaginative combinations that, at first glance, may seem most unlikely. But try them! One of my favorites is the El Pastor with pineapple and cilantro green sauce. My mouth is watering just thinking of it! Whether for a fast lunch or a... More
