We visit family in the DFW area at Christmas time, and Campo Verde is the default restaurant every Christmas Eve. The decorations say it all, and they are year-round. The food is good, not great, but really it's the destination and time of year that make it for us. Of course, you can see an equally impressive decorative display at... More

We have been to Campo Verde for several years at Christmas found it to be a fun atmosphere with good service even though the food is just average. We needed a spirit lifter on Christmas Eve since my father passed a few weeks before. We thought Campo Verde would be a good place to relive some memories. Sadly, our waiter... More

We have been going here once a year for several years. It's a tradition to go to campo verde then to see the Christmas lights at interlochen. It was very busy last night but we got seated quickly. The beef fajitas were good but the chicken was not seasoned and the rice was tasteless. If your handicapped like I am... More

Granted we were kind of a big group but we had made reservations in advance only to show up and are shorted chairs, our friends had to wait for the table behind them to clear before they could even have a seat. Our waitress was nice but became visibly impatient and stressed as the night went on. For being a... More

Forget about going here to eat, just walk inside to see all the tinsel and Christmas lights. This place is also bigger than it looks on the outside. The atmosphere was wonderful and service was exceptional. Chips and cheese dip were good. Salsa was not my favorite and my Tacos Carbon were under seasoned. I will eat here again if... More

We ate lunch here and really enjoyed our meals My wife and I both got fajitas (me chicken, her steak). They were both really good. The tortillas were really soft. They felt like cotton (might sound weird, but they were REALLY soft). I thoroughly enjoyed them. The chips were very thin and crunchy. Very tasty. We could have eaten a... More

I went here on a date. Bad choice. The restaurant was almost empty and they sat us in front of the kitchen doors. The food was okay. Not great, not horrible, but the chicken in my dish did not taste fresh. I did not try the orange queso. Just couldn't make myself do it, but the chips were good. They... More

I lived in Texas over 30 years ago and Campo Verde was one of our favorite restaurants. We used to go to the one in Fort Worth that is now closed. Now that we have moved back into the DFW area, we tried this one. It was easily as good as the one I remember from the 80's. Food was... More

They have luncheon specials for about $6, and otherwise most meals run between $8- $13. The food is good and their service was excellent. They have a miniature train on tracks above your head that choo-choos while you are eating. The chips have some spice to them. The tacos were good and the cheese enchilada was ok as was the rice.
