My friend and I came here for lunch today. It looked like a fun and cozy place for a lunch. We walked in and I was impressed by the decor and atmosphere. Things were off to a good start. Our server was friendly enough, though quiet. Our food came out quickly. My friend's fish tacos were pretty good. Neither of... More

Humble surroundings, really good handcrafted food and a welcoming patio make this one of my favorite casual dinner spots. This is not your usual Tex-Mex. The green enchiladas are my favorite and they have some of the best verde sauce in town.

This is our favorite neighborhood restaurant. We have been going there since it opened in the mid-1980s. With current day Austin being deluged each month with new and highly touted restaurants, we most often go to Las Palomas because it is tasty, consistent, best mole in town, wonderful rellenos, what more could one want.

As frequent visitors to this wonderful Tex Mex restaurant, we decided to try them for Valentines. Dinner was great ! Fixed price-$50.00 including a glass of Prosecco , lots of choices, no chips !! The ceviche is mild and good, the Paella was the best !! Mama's recipe. They have a great bar, too. Always get their Mexican Martini !!

Not a whole lot to say.....worse fajitas I have ever had. Service was good. Nate the bartender was excellent. Food......honestly.....not impressed at all. We had combo fajitas, queso, quesodillas.

A neighborhood lunch staple for years we had dinner there with a few friends and it was very underwhelming. House margarita super basic, one minute after happy hour ended not willing to offer us the deal which is poor salesmanship. Don't try their tortilla soup which was canned tomato soup basically. We sat in the courtyard and as much as... More

We visit this restaurant often for lunch. It is a great lunch choice in West Lake, located next to the post office, near the CVS. Service is always very good, and the Pozole and Lunch Mole Enchiladas are outstanding. With the Pozole don't forget to squeeze in the lime they serve it with.

From a local who goes here quite often. I have tried many things on the menu, from shrimp in garlic on top of white rice, to pork pabil and other Yucatan favorites, including the margarita with chili salt on the rim. Everything is very flavorful and very different from the Mexican restaurants serving TexMex. Leave those kind of expectations at... More

Went to Las Palomas for lunch last week. They have very tasty food. The chips and salsa are a plus which comes before the meal. I ordered off of the lunch menu. I had the Chicken Enchiladas Verdes with Rice and Charro beans. The enchilada was very good. The verde sauce on top of the enchilada was flavorful. The Charro... More

We met friends here for dinner after work. This place has been in the same spot a long time with a strong family history. The immediate community has provided many loyal customers despite just an OK kitchen for many of those years. So after average food experiences previously, we were not certain what to expect. What we found was a... More
