The moist brisket literally melts in your mouth and taste amazing. The bbq sauce is great and it's a great environment to eat good quality bbq

I went to ACL fest and found this place while I was looking for a snicker store. Let's begin with excellent and helpful attention to my questions about the meal's weight and ingredients. Then, I received my order of brisket and sausage and it was AMAZING!! One of the best brisket I've tasted!! Great experience!

When you live in CA and your daughter decides to attend UT in Austin you get a great chance to try food that you won't usually get to have. After 5 years in school, I feel as though I am well educated in Austin cuisine. By far, my favorite restaurant of any kind is Ruby's. the sauce is just delightful.... More

Stop by the place, it is clean, well run, and has happy employees. I tried the brisket, turkey, ribs, potato salad, creamed corn, and chocolate pudding (was sharing with friends so don't judge) :-) It really is worth checking out and is great for large groups as well. I see people saying this place isn't as good as this or... More

They advertise as if they're high quality meat. I wouldn't say anything negative otherwise. Pretty good old-style place with predictable noserings, etc., being close to campus in Austin.

Stopped in during a visit with family and friends. Food came in a reasonable amount of time, plenty to eat, and the quality was very good. Took a couple of folks who'd never had brisket, and they were very impressed and enjoyed the meal very much. Not sure why the folks who ordered the hot and spicy beans were surprised... More

We went as part of an office goodbye party. Everyone enjoyed the food and time at Ruby's. Cafeteria style service. Can be confusing especially if this is your first time.

Ribs were mediocre, sauce too hot even for Austin as well as the sausage. Turkey was inedible. Save your money & go to a decent restaurant where they know how to cook barbeque.

grimy little place with no atmosphere. the baby backs tasted like they came straight out of the oven no smoke flavor at all. the smoked turkey had never been anywhere close to any kind of smoke. it was tasteless. sides poor to ordinary. the beans were so hot seasoned not even my grandson could eat them. sorry but there is...
