The brisket is good but it is not to die for. I will come back as the price isn't to high and I'm not looking for a 5 star restaurant all the time.

Pokejo's does great catering, but we stop by for a fast lunch or dinner and takeout for family packs to bring home. Good sausage and sides, I like the sliced brisket- if you like meat that isn't basted in smoke, this is for you. Good daily plate specials and sweet tea. Consistently good.

Had PoK-e-Jo's when they catered the VIP tent at the Texas Firearms Festival. All they had for meats was chicken and brisket so my buddy and I had brisket. It was pretty darn good. It had a reasonable smoke ring and was moist but not too fatty. The sauce was a traditional sweet sauce so we used it sparingly. We... More

We were looking for a place to eat on our trip to Austin. Someone recommended that we go to Pok-e-joe's. So we walk in there, and we are welcomed by so many options of food to eat. We didn't know what to get, but the workers generously gave us a ton of samples. We wanted to buy everything. We ended... More

Pok-e-Joe's has the best BBQ I've ever had in a chain restaurant, and the best chopped BBQ beef sandwich bar none.

After leaving a poor excuse for a bbq restaurant my family found this gem! We were so relieved. Right when you walk in you smell the wonderful food. Staff was very helpful and I made sure to tell the manager how good the food was. We will return here again. The sausage, pulled pork, corn bread casserole and homemade mac... More

For a chain store, very good BBQ. They have a wide assortment of meats - beef, pork, turkey, chicken and sausage, ribs, pulled and sliced. The 4 meat platter was surprisingly inexpensive. Great assortment of sides. The green bean casserole looked delicious but didn't really deliver - needed some spice. The habinero cornbread was great. I was going to try... More

Pok-e-Joe's is easily the B.E.S.T at what it does - and what it does is Texas style home cooking. Their smoked meats beg to be enjoyed, especially with their traditional side dishes. It's difficult to choose a favorite dish, so I always choose a combo plate with at least three sides. Pok-e-Joe's does a brisk take-out business and will make... More

Pok-E-Joe's is always one of our favorites in Austin. Good selection of side items and service was very fast and friendly. All meats that we have tried have been great. Definitely give it a try when you're in town.
