A bit pricy but worth the expense. Great views of the water if you can get a table near the Windows.

Our mini family reunion had dinner at the Wharf restaurant. To a person everyone was very pleased. Both the entrées and the desserts were outstanding. I had the lobster and scallops and thought it as good as I have had. The staff was very friendly and professional as well as being flexible. I have recommended this restaurant to others and... More
We were in the mood for seafood and yes, we had the kids. We arrived early for our reservation, but they seated us promptly and with warm service. The special appetizer of the day was conch fritters, which we ordered, and they were awesome. We also had some baked clams (we would call this clams casino in NJ), but they... More
Getting back to Alexandria, especially on New Year's Day, with all the Christmas lights, was a lot of fun. We shared the Calamari and asked for a cocktail sauce dip, as well as their spicy dip to go with it. Ironically, the spicy dip was not over spicy. My wife had the Mahi-Mahi, and I had the Lobster-Scallop casserole. Both... More
Wharf Restaurant provides their menu at the entrance to entice you into this historic building. That got us in the door (along with a recommendation from the visitor's center), but we ended up ordering the specials for that day. Changing daily, there were about four other options for dining in addition to the regular menu. We chose the cashew crusted... More
The Wharf is rated as the number two restaurant in Alexandria but in our opinion it should be number one. We went there for lunch/brunch on a Sunday in November. We had reservations but truly I don’t think we needed them that day. Outdoor seating was available but we decided to dine in the cozy dining room. Our meals were... More
My husband brought me here on a sunday to end my birthday weekend celebration. We had oyster Rockefeller, chilled seafood tower and fried seafood for two. Everything went beyond my expectations and made my taste buds explode. The ambiance was romantic. I can't wait to go back to try some fish along with the coconut pie!
My wife and I had excellent dishes. Their specialty of course is seafood. Dishes come with fresh vegetables too. The service staff was just OK. Maybe because the restaurant is packed with tourists. So, make reservations and arrive earlier than your reservation time. We arrived at our reservation time and it didn't help at all. We still had to wait... More
Hi Nelson, Thank you for your honest and kind review. I am sorry to hear about the wait for and location of your table. Although there are always things that we cannot control, service is something that we can. Our standards are and always have been aimed higher than just OK and I am sorry that you did not get... More
The restaurant was quaint, had a good selection to choose from and was clean. The service was good and they even provided a serving of fresh bread with butter before we had ordered which was nice. The clam chowder was very good and the crab cake sandwich with fries was not a disappointment. It was not loud at all in... More
