Family ate here on a recent trip to DC. Funky little place in Arlington on Columbia Pike. Non-descript from the street, but inside decorated nicely and had a neat feel. Beer options extensive as was the menu. Very casual - all of us had sandwiches,...More

Ate here after a funeral at Arlington with about 15 or so family and friends. Food and service was very good and the beer selection was pretty extensive. They seated us in a back room which was away from the main area, Very nice time...More

We ate dinner at the Lost Dog with my Daughter & her family. Everyone enjoyed their food but me. I ordered a pizza and I think the mistake I made was putting marinara sauce on it. The pizza was terrible, definitely disappointed. I would eat...More

We ordered spaghetti and meatballs, the taco dip, and a salad for delivery. The meatballs weren’t cooked all the way through so we didn’t eat them all. Otherwise they were very tender but not note worthy. I liked the large spaghetti noodles. The sauce wasn't...More

I have spent, literally, thousands at Lost Dog over the years. Introduced many friends to it, probably weigh an extra 10lbs because of it. After tonight, I still will...but for delivery only. Sadly, the Columbia Pike location clearly lacks in any enforcement of basic customer...More

This place is really cute. Unfortunately, we were not impressed with the food. We only got sandwiches. Maybe the pizza is better.

We met here for lunch before a service at Arlington National Cemetery. The staff wasn't "prepared" for us, is the impression I received when I arrived. I had called a few days before to ask if there was seating for 12. We sat in the...More

A great go-to for craft beer, gourmet pizza and well made heroes, subs, hoagies, grinders or however you say "A bunch of awesome between two slices of bread!" How can you go wrong with chunks of garlic infused chicken? You can't! And the dog collars...More

This place is one of my absolute favorites. With kitchy names for their delicious pies, and a great mission. If you want a really good pizza this is the place to go! It is a pricey place for pizza but it is absolutely worth it....More

Really loved their sandwich selection and the sandwich as well. This is the second time we have been here and both times it was a hit. We will be back again.

The Lost Dog Café has been serving up great pizza, hot sandwiches and beer from around the world in Arlington's Westover neighborhood since 1985. Well known as a place to get great food at a great price, the café also serves up a hefty slice of compassion with each pizza. Café owners Ross Underwood and Pam McAlwee have been rescuing stray dogs and cats almost as long as they have been in business and the effort continues. Since 2001, Lost Dog and Cat Rescue Foundation has saved the lives of over 18,000 dogs and cats, helping them connect with loving families and forever homes. In May 2009, long time employees of the original Westover location, Jim and Mike Barnes, Wes Clough and Michael Danner opened additional locations South Arlington, Virginia in May 2009, Mclean, Virginia in January 2011 and Dunn Loring, Virginia in the summer of 2012. The latest addition to the Lost Dog Café franchise family is Alexandria, Virginia (opened in December 2015), owned and operated by franchise owner Pam McAlwee's cousin Matt Sisk, also a past employee at the original Westover location.
