I relied on reviews to choose a place to have chowder on a cold day. All I can positively say, is that it was warm. Talk about bland. Try 'The Loft' in Bellingham for chowder and you'll want to change your review. I shared the Captains plate with my husband. The oysters were large and oozed the goo inside. Disgusting!... More

First time I've been here. Absolutely delicious fish and chips. The chowder was very good as well. The toast piece was a nice touch with the chowder. The coleslaw has the Lemon Love dressing, which I love. (they sell the Lemon Love in the store as well). I will definitely be back!

Place is clean and well kept. Simple. The fish was great, Alaskan cod done right. They also were happy to substitute salad for the chips (I have to watch the carbs) . Happy surprise the salad was great, fresh high quality mixed greens. They even had a good quality hard cider to top it off.

My husband and I are usually critical of food served at restaurants, but we had the unexpected pleasure of eating at the Chowder House while staying next door at the Marina Inn (also a great place to stay). The chef has excellent taste in food. My hubby and I both had the wild salmon and salad. The salmon was grilled... More

Such a great array of choices. Of course I had the clam chowder. The people working there are so helpful and happy. Will go back next time I am in Anacortes.

My husband and I went to Bob's today for a late lunch. We are visiting here so first day here. Our chowder was really good and the gentlemen at the counter was very friendly. I got the salmon tacos, not very good, very little salmon and the sauce is just tartar sauce which I don't like tartar sauce so it... More

I was hoping for a better meal, it really was an assortment of deep fried food that tasted like it was all prefrozen. Not the best. Thought maybe they would have a selection of Washington state beer but the choices were limiting. the service is fast and it is very clean and has a cool decor. great little patio to... More

There was also a deli not more than a couple miles from hotel that was very good,. Wonderful lunch place. Soups, salads, fresh meat deli sandwiches or buy by the lb. if you chose. Daily specials. Loved the quiche.

The fish and chowder are the best we have found in the area. Great food for a great price. Definitely worth a visit.

We met relatives here for lunch. It was the first visit for us. Two of us had the salmon salad and it was really delicious. The other two had clam chowder and it, too, was delicious. For two of us, the bill was under $20. The people who take your order are pleasant (you order at the counter), the atmosphere... More
