Banana da Terra is a very nice restaurant downtown Paraty. Food and presentation are impeccable. Service is also really good. I tried the octopus with tapanade, mashed sweet potatoes, roasted garlic and onions and sun-dried tomatoes! It couldn't be better! Highly recommend.

This is a great restaurant that would stand out in any city. All of the food was excellent as was the wine and the service. This a really good choice for a nice dinner.

The food is good, but not amazing. The menu is original and the restaurant is designed with lots of taste but its too expensive AND the fish wasn't fresh. 2 of us had one starter and 2 other a main dish: one fish and the fillet Mignon. The fish wasn't fresh and resulted as a bad food poisoning. The only... More

A discovery in Paraty among some many pretentious fancy and over priced restaurants. An honest menu with a touch of sophistication with Brazilian ingredients for an unique experience. Very good Chef. I strongly recommend.

We enjoyed this restaurant so much we went back the next night! Lots of fresh seafood dishes all cooked with local flair and presented nicely. Service and drink selection was also great. Bit on the pricey side but worth it!

Recently dined here with friends while visiting Paraty. Another chef from Salvador had specifically recommended this place to us so we decided to visit. First, the restaurant is quite expensive for Brazilian standards. And it was also quite crowded. But, overall we enjoyed our experience there -- the food, ambiance and service were all great. When we arrived we were... More

Excellent seafood, friendly staff and very good beers from Petrópolis, Rio de Janeiro. It is worth going at least one time!
