My number one place for Japanese food in Sao Paulo, Great variety, asks for dishes off the menu. Start with the oyster shot! Enjoy from sitting in bar, you will be amazed watching the chef's team preparing it all. Beautiful place and terrific drinks: try the Wasabi Martinni!! For desert: all, especially the Motti with chocolate, Have fun, you wont... More

I had the absolute pleasure of eating at this amazing restaurant on a recent vacation with my wife and mother-in-law. Upon entering, the decor was very warm and relaxing. We were greeted by the chef, who has a way of making you feel like you are the only guest in the restaurant. His charm is overshadowed only by the quality... More

Sao Paulo has a very important Japanese colony and, therefore, a great variety of Japanese restaurants. Interestingly, the Japanese community has preserved some of the early 20th century Japanese traditions, as in a "time machine", but also has received the influence of other groups. This is reflected as well in food. In my view, Kinoshita is the best Japanese restaurant... More

We have been there since 2009 and it has been ups and downs.... One Michelin star? The service was very good, but the food was very disappointing. The Nigiri Sushi set had only ordinary fishes and steamed shrimp. One of the rolls was too big, not pleasant to eat... All had a very good quality, but without excitement. Great appetizers... More

I was expecting more. I feel that the dinner was overpriced, due to the fact that we spent more than 900 reais and it was not a "wow" experience. I would say it was ok. I feel disappointed. If you really enjoy having dinner at a high end restaurant, you would maybe have a good time. The quality of the... More

You are greeted upon arrival by the staff with great enthusiasm. The service is very attentive. We sat at the sushi bar to watch the cooks in action. The owner also came and chatted with us and was very detail oriented in the staff's presentation. Overall enjoyed the omakase. In my opinion foie gras should be warmed up a bit... More

Kinoshita is an upscale sushi restaurant with very good and fresh food, good service and an ok atmosphere, but be advised: it can get expensive. Plates are small (its sushi after all!) but fish is clearly fresh, everything is really tasty and and well presented. Dinner can very well go between 90-100 USD per person (1 drink each)

Definitely one of the best Japanese restaurants I have ever been to. Food was excellent and the experience as well. I need to acknowledge especially the Chef Murakami as I think that his presence makes a big difference. The rest of the staff was also very helpful and friendly. I will definitely be back and recommend this place to anyone... More

This is the best Japanese restaurant I have ever been to. the service was excellent, the atmosphere cosy and relaxed, even for an up-scale place like this. We had the 9 course tasting menu, and each of the (small) dishes was prepared to perfection. Great ingredients, great presentation, wonderful flavours. The waiters could not present the dishes in English but... More

Have been traveling for a while:) That includes many destinations in Japan (visited twice), and, yes, Kinoshita is definitely the best japonese rest in the world. Great selection of fish, mastered by the hands of this consistent team. Dig into the wine list, great surprises from around the world to pair your food.
