Wow. Hard to start. From the couvert to the desert the experience was incredible. We were in two couples and we tried the Optimus tasting menu. It was a 6 course meal with some amuse bouche in between. One excellent tip that we got was to bring our own wine. There is a surcharge for that, but it is worth... More

Amazing place - great food, service and in a great part of town. Tad on the expensive side but what do you expect when you are going to one of the best restaurants in the world.

Definitely one of the best restaurants I have ever been. I really don't know why this is not a 3 star. I had the Optimus Menu and all dishes were perfect. The quail, ribs and the pirarucu were delicious. The staff is very professional... Alex Atala itself was cooking the night I have been there. It's expensive, but quality has... More

For a 2 Michelin star and world's top 20 restaurant, its tasting menu price is very reasonable. 410 or 560 Reais for non vegetarian. Add another 150 for wine pairing. We took the Optimus 410 menu which has about 9 different courses, all small but by the end you will be filled up. Don't take their bread which costs another... More

This was my favourite of the 5 top restaurants I visited in South America. I had the optimus menu, which was 8 courses. It was the perfect amount of food for me. At the other degustation meals I had I was not eating all of the food as just too full, but DOM was perfect. Also the flavours were fantastic,... More

Michelin just recently started awarding stars to restaurants in South America. I'm so glad they did. I was born and raised in São Paulo but have lived in the U.S for the past 6 years. My husband and I try to go to Brazil at least once a year to visit my family! Last April we went and decided to... More

D.O.M: elected among the Top 15 restaurants in the world for the 2nd year in a row (#11 last year). Excellent food (fix menu of multiple courses for a Brazilian inspired culinary experience). It is possible to have luck and find the Chef, Alex Atala, to be in the restaurant; if so, he will come to each table to greet... More

I had first heard of Chef Atala a few years back. I was intrigued as to what an Amazonia restaurant would serve. WHAT could be the attraction? So I have to say I needed to see it first hand. My curiosity was only drawn deeper by the Chefs Table episodes and I just knew that I had to go. We... More

This place was amazing. I saw the chef in Netflix and made a trip. I was not disappointed. The portion are just the right size and the explode with amazing flavors in your palette. The food is a fusion of flavors and aromas with ingredients from the Amazon. I enjoyed to watch the attention to detail in even the butter... More

Staying in Jardins

Neighbourhood Profile
Jardins
Located just below important Paulista Avenue, Jardins is the junction of four smaller neighbourhoods: Jardim Paulista, Jardim América, Jardim Europa and Jardim Paulistano. It is an upper-class area, offering a variety of things to do, including shopping, museums and parks. The neighbourhood is well known for “Oscar Freire”– the most luxurious street in the city, packed with high-end boutiques. In Jardins you will also find a trendy museum, São Paulo Museum of Image and Sound (MIS), which people often line up for hours to visit. If green space is what you're after, take time to relax at Trianon Park, a refuge in the heart of Paulista Avenue.
