Many cooking lessons have opened these last years and you wonder which one to choose: if you are looking for a real authentic experience, then Smokin' pot is for you. Vanake, the Cook chef, never take more than 6 people in his class. You meet him at his restaurant and he first takes you to a big market (not the... More

They use tourists to get rid of their old dollars...we gave a new (not folded or anything!!) 10 dollar bill, but a few minutes later the woman came back with an old bill (defenitely not ours), telling us she couldnt accept this old bill. When we said we knew that it wasnt our bill, since we just got ours fresh... More

The cooling school is definately worth the visit as it is a genuinely owned and operated by a Cambodian. An authentic experience for traditional foods where you get to cook what you want learn about. Spend the time and be rewarded with an enjoyable day.

We did here a cooking class. The whole experience was really authentic and totally worth it. You can choice what to cook. You buy everything at a local market. The cooking is at the house of the owner. The transport (car behind motorbike) makes it even better. The owner speaks English and has a lot of good stories to tell.... More

Despite its name, Smokin' Pot is best described as VERY ordinary in every respect, environment, food, service and prices. It offers basic Khmer and Thai dishes that tho not bad, are not noteworthy. Try Khmer Delight instead. A bit more expensive but worlds of difference.

The host Vannak and his family are very warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this cooking class for anyone looking for an authentic Khmer cooking experience. He takes you to his village where you buy the ingredients you will need for the meal. My favorite part of this whole experience was seeing how they select the fish that you will... More

Delightful small family restaurant, best quality around. Loved this place, ate there ever day for Me week. Very reasonable priced and good servings Staff really helpful and drinks cold. Probably the best food we found in Cambodia. Didn't do cooking class but I expect it would be authentic like the restaurant

We had a great time with Vannak and learned a lot about cambodian food and culture. First we went to a local market and shopped fresh ingredients. Vannak explained everything. Then we drove to his home in a nice little village and cooked outside on traditional cambodian stoves. Three dishes were included and you can decide what you want to... More
