This very small restaurant about a five minute walk away from the main drag serves up outstanding food. Had one of the best meals in all Chile, and I'm a discriminating New Yorker. Only issue is that you must buy a complete 3-course meal and the atmosphere is just OK.

This restaurant was recommended to us by our culinary tour guide from 'Bite of Atacama' and it did not disappoint. The menu was simple, the food was fresh, delicious and nicely presented and the staff were attentive and friendly. We were thoroughly impressed!

I loved this place - by far my favourite restaurant in San Pedro de Atacama - only reservation (and by the way, you must have a reservation as there are only 7 tables) is that the handwritten menu which changes daily provides 2 options for each of appetizer, main and dessert, so if something doesn't appeal to you there aren't... This is a small restaurant on a small side street. The night we were there, some people without reservations had to be turned away because the place was packed. On one end of the dining room is the open kitchen, so you can see Chef Marta and all the action. The soup appetizer and freshly baked bread was very good.... More

I was in the restaurant with my parents. My mother had stomachache and the waiter together with the chef offered to prepare a special menu for her - clear vegetable soup and steamed fish and quinoa. I was amazed! Me and my father had regular menu (you can choose from 2 starters, 2 main dishes and 2 desserts). All of... More

Nondescript from the outside it would be easy to miss this small restaurant but the food was both good and unusual. We tried two entrees one of these was tasty grilled pork ribs and the other was a more unconventional dish of lamb's tongue stuffed with deer chorizo. Sounds bizarre but it was good. The restaurant is small and actually... More

Food was very good and service also good. It is a good first stage for fancy food using local elements in a very infant gourmet destination. We enjoyed the moment and the mixtures of preparations.

Our hotel recommended and booked this restaurant for us. We were definitely not disappointed. The chef, Marta Neculpán, has a real talent for preparing spectacular and memorable fare, and the menu changes relatively frequently. Many of the people eating here were locals; this is always a good sign. The menu and wine list are reltively small, but the waiter was... More

The best meal we had in 5 days in San Pedro, and certainly the most unique and memorable: combines Atacameño, Chilean, Mapuche ingredients into tasty, artfully prepared, and reasonably-priced dishes. There isn't an extensive menu (just a fixed-price meal), or a huge wine list, so come with appropriate expectations and you will enjoy yourself.

Baltinache is a small, attractive, cozy restaurant a bit away from the main street of San Pedro. The single server spoke no English, but offered a warm welcome and communicated adequately with pointing and smiles. Artisanal beer and Chilean wine were very good. Soup of the day was very bland. Pork chops were overcooked and too tough to cut. Dessert... More
