A colleague recommended Post Office Pies when we came to Birmingham and we were not disappointed. This location sits just outside of downtown in a small area which has a hip vibe. They serve beer selections from the local brewery next door, as well as specialty beer cocktails. We ordered inside but sat in the outdoor seating in front of... More

Such a fun part of town---good pizza, Avondale Brewery next door, live music, and outdoor seating on a mild autumn evening! Their Chicken Pesto pizza is fabulous or create your own!

A wonderful late lunch, with beer, and many friends. Awesome pizza (The Swine) and jalapeño cheese bread. The line never died down to order and we were there from around 1:30 in the afternoon to 3:30. Wish we had pizza like this back home!

This is a step up from ordinary pizza. They wonderful fresh organic ingredients and wonderful pizza. We love the white cheese pizza. They also have wonderful and creative salads. John Hall trained in New York and creates real gormet pizza. They also many craft beers on tap. We love the roasted beet salad.

We visited on a Thursday night with a large group. The staff was very accommodating and our food came out quickly. The pizza is delicious. We also ordered the meatball appetizer which was very good also. Great place to hang out with friends and family.

POST OFFICE PIES is one of those simple out-of-the-way places you might drive right past. But oh my! Those pizzas! Hand-tossed crusts that are tastyt, baked in wood-fired brick onions. The locally-sourced toppings are the perfect embellishment for the crust. The Caesar salad was also delicious--one salad fed both of us, as a prelude to our pizza.(There were other creative... More

This was a try during Birmingham's Winter Restaurant Week. We will definitely return! The roasted beet salad was so delicious! I'm not sure if the pizza they offered for restaurant week is a regular menu item. If not, it should be! Nice choices of craft beers, with some interesting mixed beer drinks also.

Decided to try post office pies on a whim and it was pretty good. The pizza came out fast and was hot. The environment was alright, but there were a lot of dirty tables when we walked in and the drink station was kind of dirty. I would probably go back.

Post Office Pies - terrific pizzas, salads, and cheap eats! Your "plate" is brown butcher paper, but you'll be able to use real silverware. Unique lemonades and craft beers, along with typical sodas and iced tea, will wet your whistle. Very good salads (we chose Caesar) are large enough to share! But the real draw is the pizzas which are... More
