Baobab house is the perfect place to have good and healthy food, tasty juices (try moringa-pinneapple) and very good breakfast! And when Lydia, the singing lady is around, you will get some off her good vibrations! We enjoyed it!

Nice place in downtown Cape Coast. Nice location close to Malcolm, Cape Coast Castle and the beach bars on a small hill which gives a bit of a view. The food is pretty good, especially the lunch and they have really good and natural juices.

I used the cafe here to drop in for refreshments when in Cape Coast. As well as the cafe, there is a shop and you can also stay here. Nice place

Had a vegetarian curry at Baobab house which was nice although not spectacular, the vegetables consisting mainly of cabbage. Atmosphere was nice with many young volunteers staying here.

Dear Melissa, I am surprised. We have all the vegetables available in our curry. Never I have experienced a vegetable curry with just cabbage. I will ask the chef. Thanks for your feed back. Regards Edith Managing Director

We were staying at Baobab House for two nights, but decided to check out after one night. The first thing that we faced when we checked in was a grumpy woman, who only seemed irritated by our precence. We tried to smile and be nice,...More

Interesting local vegetarian and vegan cuisine in a restaurant that supports an educational foundation helping children learn trades to support themselves.

I really liked my 3-days stay at Baobab House. The staff is very friendly and helpful, food unique, double bedroom simple but cozy. Bathrooms are clean. Baobab House is located 2min walk from Cape Coast Castle, what makes it a perfect spot for tourists.

Baobab is a small restaurant with just a few outdoor tables that is popular with foreign tourists. The menu has many interesting things to eat and drink and the three of us each enjoyed our different choices, all of which were reasonably priced.

I was so excited to find a vegetarian restaurant after spending 3 months in Ghana. I was slightly disappointed that my first 3 choices where not available (not tofu, pizza, smoothies, or yam) but we enjoyed our salad and sandwich (the other food I ordered...More

Description
The small Vegetarian Restaurant is the perfect place to rest during your visit in Cape Coast. It lies between the Castle and the Market amidst the busy town. Our patio, built in traditional style, has a nice view over the sea and the busy Atta Mills Avenue. Our friendly staff of 9 people are 100 % Ghanaian. 6 of them are former students of our Baobab School. Students of our school learn catering, cooking and practice their English. Our chef Madam Christie prepares together with Vida and Rose delicious healthy vegetarian snacks and meals- local and continental. Every day we offer a daily local dish. Our dishes with fresh tofu, soy chunks or oyster mushrooms are the specialty of our restaurant. Vegetable Pies, Banana Cakes and Coconut Cakes are all made with whole-wheat flour. Fresh Pineapple-Moringa Juice, Bisap or Ginger Juice are a must if you visit the Baobab Vegetarian Moringa Restaurant. All vegetables we use are washed in saltwater and many come from the school-owned Organic Farm.
