The place is in a narrow side street and nothing much to look at. A no frills restaurant very basic but with old world charm. The good part is the service and the fish and prawns-very fresh and typically Goan masalas. The fish masala rawa fried was good not outstanding but the fish curry was very good. So were the... More

Great atmosphere. A few outdoor tables in the quaint passageway. Large choice of real Goan food at very reasonable prices. We paid just over $10 for nice meal of two mains, Goan bread, dessert and beverages. Prawn curry Goan style relatively small, but tasty. Chicken Xacati really good and spicy. A relaxing, casual, down-home experience that you will remember fondly.

Though Viva Panjim is widely known for its tasty Goan Cuisine and seafood , our family which is not a seafood eating family ordered zeera aaloo , yellow daal & rice for lunch at this renowned eatery, set in a heritage home by an efficient lady Ms Linda and I must say it was so tasty that we ate it... the title says it all! Do visit this tiny eatery tucked away in a tiny alley on 31st January rd. I polished off the prawn caldinho with bhindi (lady finger) and hot , comforting basmati rice. And topped it with yummy caramel pudding. You can find almost every goan speciality preparation here ....cafreal , vindaloo, xacuti, crab xec xec! Indulge... More

As Viva Panjim was recommended on lonely planet and TripAdvisor we decided to go for dinner. The place is a cosy little restaurant with sweet interior design. However the service and the food was very bad. When I asked the waiter some questions about a couple of dishes on the menu he got very impatient and I couldn't understand him... More

Oh my god, I don't even know where to begin! This place made me and my family so happy, it is truly the best restaurant I have been to in the whole of Goa city. This time, we had decided to explore new places, restaurants that we had never seen or visited before. Viva Panjim was discovered on one pleasant... More

Probably one of the best Goan cuisine restaurants . In a narrow lane with the old looks. Food fantastic and service even better. Small but very good.

Our tour guide room us here yesterday and after falling ill earlier in our India trip decided to stay away from meat or fish. We ended up having possibly the best vegetable byriani ever (we are vegetable byriani connoisseurs) but upon eyeing up other tables the fish dishes looked incredible and everyone looked very satisfied. This place is very busy... More

Positive reviews in our travel guides and by other guests brought us to this place. Hence the bad surprise when confronted with a poor service and food of law quality. It may be cheap but it certainly note a place to enjoy good and authentic cuisine in nice environment.

Had tried coming here a few months back but the place was under renovation. So my husband and I decided to try again and this time we saw a long queue outside. We too sat down and waited but Linda the owner was an extremely concerned owner who served us Pao while we were waiting. The dinner was heavenly with... More
