Came here after reading about it and it seemed highly recommended. Managed to find the place eventually, a whole alley way that stretches maybe 1 km, with numerous restaurants along the way all specializing in hot pots. The larger and more popular ones seem to be at either end. Found one at the western end which was great. Delicious food... More

Many people say it is Can Tho’s specialty, the name is Vit Nau Chao (the duck hot pot), it means the duck is cooked in fermented tofu. For me, it is not good. Many resto like this are in this alley, and it is not easy to find the alley. It is for someone likes tofu and vegetable such as... More

We went to the busiest place in the Alley and ordered the duck hot pot. The meal was delicious. Athough the kids weren't mad keen on some of the unidentifiable parts of the duck). Service is great, the waiters topped up our broth and paraffin several times without being asked. Prices are great too.

There's a bunch of restaurants to choose from while walking through Hotpot Alley. We stopped into the first one (on the right) because that's where all the Vietnamese-American stars go when they stop by (also, we were hungry and wanted food ASAP). It's a Vietnamese restaurant. Tables are small and closely positioned to other tables, chairs are stools barely big... More

It was hard to find this place, partly because they were laying sewer in the alley which was basically a roadworks site. The place we chose was busy with locals so we gave it a go. The food was ok but not great, a bit bland and the "fish fillet" we ordered turned out to be processed fish with the... More

the duck hot pot is tough and fatty but the seafood ones are good- no english but just point at what you want and chuck all the scaps and paper on the floor!! More fun with more people.

The lane was a very busy place with people motor bikes and even cars travelling along a narrow lane. There was a plethora of eating places and I enjoyed only one of them which tasted really good, too much for me to eat. You can see how people live as you walk along the lane. it was a great experience

We were expecting a hotpot where you cook your meat, but what you get is an already cooked hotpot - so, whats the difference between hotpot and soup if the meal is cooked? The meat was very "chewy" and the people were throwing meat on the floor (bones, skin...), not sure if this is very hygienic.... But the staff was... More
