The food was pretty average. Had the fried fish , which was in fact covered with too much batter and tasted like nothing. The Ambiance and location was good.

Great place to stop in for a meal, snack or even just a drink. Very close to Temple of the Tooth. Menu offers a range of meals including Vegetable wraps, local curries, salads and fantastic ice cream.

The Old Empire has the best food in Kandy. It's in a great spot right next to the temple entrance. Great old Colonial cafe building. Love sitting out the front on the verandah with the fans going. The curry rice is great, burgers are really nice but the wedges are amazing. Lots of fresh juices etc and the home made... More

Very conveniently located in the heart of the Kandy Town. Few minutes walk from the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic. Good Food. Worth for the price you pay.

I was there for a early lunch. Interior was preserved as in the British era and decorated with old movie posters and post cards with unique designs. I had a Trinity Burger with Strawberry and Cinnamon milkshake. Both were tasty and staff was friendly. We requested to have separate bills but they couldn't do it. Interesting place to hangout.

We liked the Empire cafe so much that we ate here 3 days in a row. Our driver recommended it and we loved it. It has a quirky ambience with great friendly staff. The first day we had the kingdom veggie burger and then the curries the other two days. Very tasty with the fresh juices. You won't be disappointed.

This was our first and favourite rice and curry in Sri Lanka, and also the cheapest. The restaurant is lovely, well kitted out and the staff are very friendly and attentive. We loved it so much we went back the next night.
