What fun to have another lunch at Brittania. Love the atmosphere created in the restaurant and the staff are attentive and efficient.Always enjoy hearing the history of such an iconic piece of Bombay/Mumbai !The caramel custard is special and the servings are ample and tasty

I live in Delhi, where I got to know and become and a fan of parsi food. Coming to Mumbai and eat at Brittania became an objective. I really wanted to try the berry pulao. I had the prawn berry pulao and it was really good. The ambience is nice and service is good. The setting of the restaurant is... More

A vegetarian in an Irani restaurant - wasn't unwelcome or uncomfortable! The Veg Berry Pulao was delectable- lightly spiced and a good portion of vegetables and well-boiled rice. When we ordered Caramel Custard we were gently told that it does contain eggs. :). We requested the owner for photographs and were allowed to click. A bit puzzled at the display... More

A shadow of its former self. The Mutton Berry Pulao was bland and actually, the rice was almost totally salt-less. The meat was tender, but the lack of salt just made the whole dish taste so flat. The mutton cutlet was pasty and lacked any meaty flavour or spicy-ness. The tomato gravy that accompanied the mutton cutlet was watery and... More

We discovered this restaurant by sheer chance. It was just a minute or two walk from our hotel, but what a delightful find! Everything was so tasty, and the waiter very helpful in choosing from the menu. Thoroughly recommended!

I think they may have lost their flavour a bit... berry pulao , Salli boti, biriyani is what we tried... this is more of an institution... go there for the nostalgia of a bygone era... Irani food.. tables chairs et al. Ohh and they still have the ginger lemon drink.. something going out of style... a must try.

If you get there before 11:30am or stay on beyond 3pm - you will be asked to leave :) If you ask for PEPSI or COKE - the sweet old parsi uncle will get all fired up and serve you his own special "Bombay's best Limboo Pani" If you want to see a 90+ year old parsi owner FIRE UP... More

Five years ago when I visited this restaurant, I enjoyed the food a lot. Those memories made me go back this time I was in Mumbai. However, I found the food to be too oily. We ordered mutton cutlets, mutton berry pulao and caramel custard. The custard was excellent, the pulao was good (though too oily) and the cutlets were... More

You come to this restaurant for two things - to meet the 95 year old owner and hear him talk about how much he loves The Queen. He has letters from her and photos of her and now even had a photo of himself with Will & Kate, after their recent visit. The other reason is to try the Barberry... More
