Tio Pepe has been around for at least 30 years in my home town of Recife, and yet its quality is always excellent. Famous for its meat and " churrasco" dishes, it offers good food at reasonable prices. Always s good place to have a Sunday meal with family or friends

This is for me the best restaurant in Recife, you can sit outside under the trees, or inside, the service is always excellent, they remember even after 6 months what I like to drink and how I like my meat. The meat they have is first class, the kitchen is open and always clean, the dishes are reasonably priced, and... More

Nice restaurant with a lot of tradicional dishes and a very different environment decorated with tools from the beginning of the XX century. All the dishes are tastefully and can serve 2 people.

I had the opportunity to be in Recife for a day. Close to the airport and with good reviews I found the Tio Pepe. I faced a old house surrounded with tables under big trees. The waiter were very educated point out the dishes that would suit my expectation previously said. The food was very good. The kitchen seems to... More

Now this place is the closest restaurant (apart from the cafe at a gas station just up the same block) to our main office in Recife so I guess you could consider I might be a little biased as it's just a short walk, but the reality is that this is a great little restaurant tucked away from the main... The food is always good here. The garden setting amazing.... there's actually a tree growing in the building itself. The only downside is mosquitoes are often present

We specialize in good old homey Brazilian food plus exquisite dishes born from our undying creativity. All meat, fish and poultry dishes are made on the spot, most of them on the grill, over traditional coal. Our portions are so generous that only Pantagruel would be able to eat one of our meals all by himself. Tio Pepe's facilities are cozy and stunningly decorated. You will love our tropical patio and indoor space full of charm. A successful history The restaurant was founded in the 1964 by an immigrant from Galicia, Spain: José Garrido Cid, nicknamed Pepe. Before he died, Pepe passed the baton to one of his Brazilian daughters, Mirtes, who has modernized the business and consolidated Tio Pepe's reputation as a place where you eat well and feel good. For forty years, in spite of Brazil's economic hardships, Tio Pepe has managed to keep a steady flow of old faithful customers. New ones continue to pour from all over the country as well as from abroad. Our secret is: we love what we do and we do it right. Open Tuesday through Saturday: 11h30 a.m. to 11h30 p.m. On Sundays: 11h30 a.m. to 4h30 p.m. Credit Card: American Express
