Local Color is a hidden gem in Springville that caters to awesome musical talents. The food selections are limited but always very delicious! Also a small alcohol selection but you are able to bring your own spirits for a setup charge. Small intimate setting makes for an amazing evening of entertainment!

Lived in Springville for 9 years before I ever took advantage of this setting. Boy, have I missed it! Great venue, albeit small, for listening to amazing local talents of all music genres. Eat there or eat before, but don't come late as it's all about the music at 8! Varied menu every week, with beer and wine selections at... More

To start with, the venue is cramped and uncomfortable, so you figure the service, food and show will be really good. I was wrong. Local color's service was the worst I have ever experienced. We had to laugh about it, it was so bad. We never got to try the food. We arrived in plenty of time to be served... More

The Local Color Cafe' is one of the finest small music venues (60 seats) I've found in North Alabama. Located on US Highway 11, a mile off I-59, between Gadsden and Birmingham, it serves, what I call "Southern Bistro" cuisine. Wholesome food and great cornbread. Music provided 3 days a week, Friday-Sunday, is more spectacular. All local artists, some with... More

We enjoyed another great night of food and music at Local Color in Springville. We drive about 30 minutes to get to Springville, but the friends who join us there are willing to drive an hour for this experience. It is a very small venue and the emphasis is on listening to the talent; it is not a smoke-filled, loud... More

Yes, it's a hole-in-the-wall, and no, the food is not the attraction. The reason you go here is the music--where else can you listen to The Something Else Trio (three mature ladies who belt out their own arrangements of great classics) for a set, and then the regional talent du jour, in an intimate, performer-friendly setting. Check the website (http://www.localcolorcafe.com/)to... More

Friends invited us a few years ago and we have been introducing other friends and family ever since. The music is varied, so check the website and listen to a sample from the band before you book reservations. The cover charge will vary depending on the entertainment; we have usually paid $10, but it is sometimes $15 or $20. They... More

This is a little hole in the wall establishment. Their menu is bland and the food is average at best. Also a little pricy so bring your wallet.

A friendly family operated place that has good food and is also a great music venue. Be sure to arrive early to hear the house trio, they are a lot of fun. The food is cooked home cooking prepared on premises.

We were on a search for places to listen to good music in a good atmosphere and we found it. Local Color has some great regional and local talent as Three on a String and Herb Trotman. its not a bar atmosphere, people are there to listen to the music, not find dates. Beer and wine are served and they have... More
