I get the La Gran Fiesta salad, which is a taco salad without the shell. Food is good, but the main thing I come for is Dos Equis Ambar draft beer, which I haven't found anywhere else, and I have asked, not just in Tuscaloosa either. Some places have bottles, but none I've found have draft. The fajitas are decent... More

Darn good Mexican. Salsa was outstanding. Service excellent...pricing good. Neighborhood might turn you off a little but these guys really put a lot of good quality food in front of you.

We stopped there for dinner and the food was good, plenty of chips and salsa. Service was good too. It would have been nice if they had draft beer, but bottles were OK.

Generally the food is pretty good at La Gran Fiesta. This visit my wifes food was more salt than food, but everyone else's was good. As the reviews have mentioned, the service is very hit or miss. I've had both terrible and fantastic service at different visits. This trip the service was fine. The hostess was a bit busy texting... More

Never Never again.Pay attention to the rankings there is a reason it is ranked 119/229.The waiter didn't know the menu, he spilled drinks in the chairs, the orders didn't come out right, cheese dip took the longest of any order at the table and didn't come out with chips when the chips came they were burned and brought to the... The hostess greeted me and seated me quickly. My waitress asked for my drink order and I asked if they had "tamarindo" (tamarind juice or soda), no. Okay I'll have an Arnold Palmer, then I explained what it was and asked for "very little ice". I searched the menu for something "healthy", "homemade". As the waitress returned a time or... More

My family's favorite food is Mexican, so we've tried nearly every Mexican restaurant in Tuscaloosa, and La Gran Fiesta is our favorite. Conveniently for us, it's two minutes from our house, but that's not the only reason we prefer it. The margaritas are delicious (and effective!), and not that bright green Kool-Aid-looking kind. The salsa and cheese dip are yummy,... More

La Gran Fiesta is by far my favorite mexican food in town. It's always great and of course its fast service.

What more can I say... Another average Mexican restaurant in Tuscaloosa. Nothing wrong, but nothing spectacular either... Free chips and salsa, a menu with 90% of the items consisting of some form of beef or chicken, on some form of tortilla, with some sort of red sauce and cheese on top. Overall, just another nondescript Mexican restaurant.

Employees are too loud. It is hard to carry on a conversation.
