We wanted to get out of our resort and explore the town of la Fortuna. Based on Trip Advisor reviews, we went to this restaurant for lunch. We were not disappointed!! Both the chicken and fish typical dishes were delicious! The mango shake was yummy! We enjoyed this food a lot more than the food we had been eating at... More

Food good, service good. Only problem we had was that a cat (don't know if it was a stray or what) decided to pee on the ledge closest to us. The pee went onto a plastic covering and the wind was making it flap our way. Ew, not very appetizing when you see the plastic covered by other brown stuff... More

This was a typical Costa Rican restaurant that was recommended to us by a Costa Rican guide of ours. The service and food was very good and was a good feel to dining more authentic than as a tourist.

We went there for dinner in August 2015. Excellent service, and excellent food. The sides are delicious and the prices are very reasonable. Don't be mislead by the frugality of the place, it is truly excellent. The best costa rican food we had in our vacation.

We read that Soda Viquez was highly recommended when we were doing our research before traveling to La Fortuna, and we were not disappointed. The first night there was a bit of a wait at the door, but this was due to a couple larger parties taking up the small restaurant. Once seated, we received some of the best service... More

Came here for dinner with two kids after walking by a day before seeing that the place was full. Sweet Natalia welcomed us and took our order patiently. The service is a bit slow, probably since the restaurant is always full, but was worth the wait. The courses are relatively big and tasty. The fruit shakes arrived with an almost... More

A lovely & very reasonably priced little local restaurant that came highly recommended by every local we talked to! The service was a little slow off the mark, but forgivable as the restaurant was packed and the two very nice waitresses were rushed off their feet. The sopa ranchera and casado were very tasty and for $27 we left very... More

Food was good, we ordered Chicken Casado (typical dish) and chicken in a spicy sauce. The casado was very good, the other one was ok, nothing special. We also had a Papaya juice and it was delicious!! 100% natural ! I would recommend this place

The food was good but nothing special, the price was similar to the rest of the similar places here, they were slow (just three people working for too many people).
