We walked to the restaurant from Hotel Cantarana for the barbecue night. Reasonable prices (for Costa Rica) and a great atmosphere. The food was simple but good. We found the meat was always excellent wherever we ate in Guanacaste.

This place was a great find for dinner. We ran into the owner down the street at the Wil Mart and he told us about the Sunday special. We were glad we went. The food was delicious and the ambiance was casual and friendly. For $10 you get a whole chicken, barbecued with garlic and pesto, potato wedges and salad.... More

Have had a blast here on more than one occasion. A few years back we caught the Jazz night and danced for hours with a group of partying friends... on my most recent visit I had a nice quiet dinner with fiance'. The ceviche is great the margaritas are amazing. Service was top notch. Free pool too!

The Seven is a huge open air restaurant and adjoins a convenience store (Wil-Mart), which should not put you off at all as the vibe is very good, especially with the live band and a bit of dancing thrown in. It is more at the south end of Playa Grande and in a fairly well-heeled neighborhood judging by most of... More

We were here for the Barbeque. It was a little on the expensive side, but worth the cost. I had the ribs, and while not the ribs I would get in Canada, there ribs were so tender and delicious. My wife had the chicken and it was incredible. We would definitely eat here again. The staff was great, and the... More

Went there to hear the reggae band on a recommendation from the clerk at Wil-Mart. Glad we did! Great band and we had a great meal at the best price in town. Very chill little area in Playa Grande. The cave bar is unique...women's bathrooms were a little scary, but overall a fun experience at this place.

We went to Seven a couple of nights for dinner because it was a very short walk to where we were staying. The food is decent but not fabulous, but it is good value. Sunday night barbeque for USD10 is definitely worth it - the argentinia barbeque option includes a very small cut of 4 different types of meats, which... More

Central to the Palm Beach Estates gated community at the south end of the town, we have everything you need to enjoy your stay.Friday nights with the BBQ and Cave Bar live music events, Seven provides free boat rides from the estuary tour marina. Reservations are recommended for the Friday and Sunday BBQ. Lunch and dinner served every day. With a varied menu of Cheeseburgers, Pasta, Pizza, Salads and Fresh Seafood, there is something for every palette and budget. Sourcing the menu from fresh caught fish and local vegetables and meats, our chef makes every dish healthy and delicious. Prices start at $6 for soups or sandwiches. $10 BBQ and large pizza on Sundays. The Friday live music BBQ from 6:00 to 9:00 is a local favorite with the Argentine Grill and wood grilled Surf and Turf. Then the party moves from the outdoor dining to the Seven Cave Bar at 9:00 pm for a late night of live bands, laser lights and dancing. No cover. Free boat rides from and back to Tamarind throughout the night. Meet the boat at the entrance to Tamarind at the Estuary Tour Marina. Ask any taxi for a ride or directions. You can make it a day of quiet beach time and lunch at the open air restaurant. From Tamarind it is a short boat ride (open 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, $1 per passenger) across the estuary and then a five minute walk along the estuary trail or on the secluded national park beach set aside for turtle nesting. It is a great day trip to get away from the hustle of Tamarind. Exit the beach at one of the public entrances at marker 29 or 25. We are located one block in at marker 27 between the only other palm beach restaurants. If you are in need of staples from the grocery, will*mart (named after Wilbert, the manager) is a mini super with mega super selection and prices.
