Great place, great food and an awesome view! Been there twice since we liked it so much. Try the "filet de pollo al caribe" - loved it. We paid 13500₡ for two drinks and to "filets"....totally worth it

After weeks off the grid on rice and beans, I chose El Ancla for my celebratory cheeseburger and beer. Apparently being solo was annoying to my server. Also asking and not completely understanding the wifi password appeared annoying. My burger was horrible, and tasted a bit of fish. I was unable to get another beer, or my check. So i... More

A nice walk from our hotel, we had drinks, lunch and a place to relax on the beach. The cerviche was excellent and happy hour was also fun. A great place to dine or just have drinks in Samara beach- right on the beach

This was our first stop in Samara. No frills food and service. I ordered the garlic shrimp with fries and salad, it was pretty average, nothing special. My bf had the ceviche which was also good but pretty standard. Fair place, average prices and everything else. Nothing wrong but nothing special either.

There's a range of food here at mid range prices. The steaks were remarkably tender and huge. Easily shareable between 2 people.

Very good food. The Red Snapper was awesome. It is on the beach. Great sunsets and a good place to watch surfers in the late afternoon.

I love this place. The food is delicious, the menu is comida tipica with a creative flare. The prices are affordable and the location is great, next to the Pacific Ocean.

Oh, so yummy and a very large portion! I have the Cordon Blu at least twice every visit I make to Sámara, Costa Rica. The portion is large enough for two people to share. Plan on a leisurely dinner with a fantastic view of the Pacific Ocean.

The whole pescado was fabulous, enough for two. Good thing, because it was the only one they had. Portions in general are large, come with an appetite or be ready to share.

4 of us went here one evening while staying at Sol Samara hotel. We liked the ceviche. All the other food was so-so. My wife and shared ceviche. It was listed as an appetizer and came before the main course. Our companion also ordered the ceviche but it came much later than ours. Our waiter seemed to be in a bad mood... More
