I have eaten many times at this little soda which overlooks the local park. The patacones are huge and a meal in themselves, but the highlight is the soup--filling and with a hint of chile, the soup is a hearty meal of vegetables and tripe (better than it sounds). It is the perfect meal at the end of a night... More

We have tried the fried chicken numerous times and it has always been delicious and fairly priced. It is served alongside fried yuca or the best fried plantain chips. The owner is delightful and this is definitely a worthwhile stop in Cahuita.

At first we had a hard time locating this restaurant as there were conflicting locations listed on the internet. But we found it, from the corner of Ricky's Rest. & Bar and CoCo bar, it is across the street and down on the right. Across from the playground. It is a tiny colorful little place with only about 4 tables.... More

We had fried red snapper and Caribbean fillet. The food was okay, and so were the prices. Nothing spectacular in our opinion but we filled our bellies properly.

Two entrees a beer and a freshly prepared juice drink cost 8,250 colones ($16.50). The food was delicious and filled us up! The server there was also delightful. BANGING plantains... Most of the entrees were around 3000 colones.

Have the fish with coconut sauce with papas or patacones. It is a very simple dish, but it is so completely fresh and flavorful. You will be in heaven! I had the same thing there each of the three times I went and have no regrets : ).
