Poor quality service and food. Nice location but overpriced 3X at least for mediocre food and service. Think thrice!

By the look of it, you wouldn't think to go to El Lagarto...but it was a great find. Many locals told us about it and we were not disappointed. The seafood was fresh and yummy. Best to have a reservation!
One travel mate had whole red snapper and raved over it. I had beef tenderloin and it was tasty but a little on the tough side. I think Costa Rican beef in general is tougher than American beef. Cozy place with friendly staff.
