We enjoyed two meals at this lovely restaurant when we were in Quepos recently. The open space lets the sea air in (it's across the street from the boardwalk bordering the ocean). The burgers were delicious, as were the Mexican salad and the fresh fish dishes. The service is excellent, and we also enjoyed some good wine. I recommend this... More

In quepos El gran escape is a very pleasant surprise Very reasonably priced and the smoothies are outrageously good I had the tuna freshest and best I've ever eaten The red snapper is a must as well as the santafe wrap The atmosphere is open air and our waiter was very friendly and helpful A must do when in quepos

Happy hour is bogof and also they do a free chilliguaro shot when you buy two beers. Free wifi but kids can't sit at the bar. They do food but we didn't try it and have signs up saying "you catch it, we'll cook it" so good for budding fishermen!

First time finally experiencing the restaurant after watching it being renovated last year. There was a group of us, very well handled by the friendly staff. Pricing was generally good, a bit on the pricey side, especially the so called seafood special! My blue cheese burger was excellent as were the other choices, around 7-8,000 colones! However, the over priced... More

We ate at this restaurant our first night in Costa Rica. The mojito was wonderful! One of our party had Red Snapper and said it was dry. Two others had Chicken Marsele - looked good - on a huge plate of mashed potatoes. I had Costa Rican Rice with chicken. It was good. We tried to pay with our credit... More

We asked our resort if they had a suggestion for a restaurant where we could have dinner. They recommended El Gran Escape. It turns out that they were correct. The restaurant is near the ocean in Quepos. It is down the street from the Best Western and the new BLU hotel. It is an open air restaurant. The restaurant had... More

We were warmly welcomed and seated at a comfortable table. Leo, our server, looked after us well and explained some items on the menu. The food was tasty and the serving size was quite large. Best burger I've had in a long time. Service was attentive without being intrusive. I thought their prices were a good value.

We had dinner here and both fish dishes were very good. Our server was super friendly and worked hard to please us. Prices were average for this area and we would come back.
