I visited Cafe de Artistas for the firs time a few weeks ago. It had been recommended highly to me, and is in my neighbourhood, so we decided to go there for a friend's boozy birthday brunch. The decor is not fancy, the food will...More

We stopped by to see the artwork, but found out that in the evening it is a pizzeria. The owner of the pizzeria was very nice that we inally stayed and had our pizza although the artwork area was closed. So, if you want to...More

Great laid back atmosphere and building. The owners are trying to establish this place as a meeting & conversation cafe.

Had a late lunch on Saturday. Minimal parking - had to park on street. Service is minimal and slow - one lady doing everything. It was 10 minutes after we sat down before we saw anyone. Restaurant decor seems to be tired as was the...More

When Bill Hill was the owner it was a great place for Sunday brunch. I'm not sure now but it is still a quaint indoor/outdoor restauratn.

This cafe is close to where we are staying, so we have eaten here twice and will again before we leave. The food is very good (pancakes, Warhol breakfast sandwich, typical Costa Rican plate, pressed Cuban sandwich). The waffles are not what Americans call waffles....More

The food is good and their dessert frozen coffees with ice cream and liquors are delicious. But the best part is the bohemian artistic ambiance.

One of the few restaurants I have been to in Escazu where I felt like I was in Costa Rica and not a suburban strip mall. It is a small open restaurant, opening on to a quiet residential street. It has shade, is quiet, good...More

A quaint cafe that serves breakfast, breakfast breads, coffee, expressos, lunch, and early dinners. There is music on Sundays. A cafe dog that greets everyone who comes to the cafe. A beautiful hand made tile shop next door with gifts or watch the craftsmen in action making the tiles. We have clubs that meet at our Cafe, come join one! Our Cafe is not "bar themed" or "Americanized" it's more than just a Cafe..It's Cafe de Artistas, you just have to experience it.
